Holiday Inn Express & Suites Regina Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Check-in was smooth, but the key did not work on 1st attempt. Also, the hotel only has one very slow elevator, and there is usually a wait for it to arrive. With the construction on the roads surrounding the hotel, it was difficult to get to, and it was not clear where you could park. Some extra signage would help guests find their way. The room was clean but there was no kleenex in the dispenser. This should be checked with each cleaning. The complementary breakfast was decent, but the coffee was not overly warm.

Room key frequently failed to open the door. Air conditioner filter needed a cleaning, badly. Elevator was slow and often not responsive. Good location though, within walking distance of some good restaurants and coffee shops

Good value, quality, and location for a 3-star hotel. The room was spacious & clean with a few chairs to sit on, coffee maker, fridge, microwave. There were a few breakfast items in the included continental breakfast. 1 block walk to get the shuttle to the Rider game. The elevator is a bit slow & clunky, but it did the job.

I do not recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel. We were moved to 3 different rooms due to each one being filthy and the pull out bed being full of unspeakable items. The last room had no bedsheets on the pull out bed, and they refused to bring anything to put on top of the filthy mattress. The floors looked like had never been vaccines either!

The most unwelcoming hotel experience I had.I was stuck in Regina downtown at 11pm on a winter night. I walked from the Riders Bus Station, 2 blocks away. Nothing was open in the area. It was around -34degC. I was looking for a place to just recollect myself, to call for friends to pick me up. I saw the Holiday Inn and I felt safe. I walked towards there. The guy in the reception didn't even open the door for me and insisted that I am not a guest so I cannot enter the hotel. Since when do hotels become this unwelcoming??? What if I needed to book out of an emergency??? I have stayed in so many Holiday Inns around the country and never have I thought that they are this rude to people.Holiday Inn, you just lost me and my whole family as a customer. And will make sure all my friends know about this unwelcoming experience I had. And to the guy at the reception, I understand you are doing your job, but bless your soul, you could have been nicer and less rude. I pray you will never experience what you made me experience.

The staff was absolutely fantastic the breakfast was fairly decent the parking wasn’t bad. My only complaints are homeless people sleeping in the back parking lot of the hotel and the door lock to our room was broken our room was very clean most likely going to return. When we checked out Michelle was absolutely amazing she gave us fruit from the breakfast room and was very friendly

With construction in the area we were unable to find the parking. Called the front desk twice for directions. Had to go down a one way with a road closed sign to get to parking. They really need better signs.Elevator is extremely slow and the close door button doesn’t closed the door. Extremely frustrating to wait for the door to close (20 seconds).Hotel keys are constantly not working ( both rooms ) I’ve never had such a hard time with these keys. Had to visit front desk before almost all room entries.The rooms were okay however the air condition was left off in both rooms and was very warm. Took a while before the A/C could cool the roomMentioned this to staff behind the desk and I was told they tell management but nothing happens. This is very upsetting. I am very disappointed with this stay.

We stayed here December 24th and 25th. The staff were all great. The woman who I spoke with on the phone was very personable.When we arrived it was very cold, the door to enter from the parking lot was broken making the only entrance around the other side of the building.We get to the room and immediately see that it isn't the same type of room that we paid for. When I went down to the front desk the employee was very nice and changed our room. It still wasn't what I wanted, but it was better.The hotel is very old. The pullout sofa bed in our suit was very old, our king bed was also old and had divets from use.The water was a disappointment. I called the front desk because after running the water for 1-2 minutes it was still cold. They said because it's such an old hotel that we have to run the water for 5-10 minutes for warm water.The shower tile had holes that I could see right through the wall and the shower plumbing was not secured in the wall so when turning the dial on the shower head the entire shower head and plumbing pipe would move into the wall atleast 8.We stayed two nights and no one made the beds or brought clean towels.They also advertised that breakfast was included and I saw pictures of the chafing dishes that keep the hot food hot. They really shouldn't be advertising breakfast. They had yogurt
