Kip was great in working with me to create a custom pendant for my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. He worked with my initial ideas and came up with a wonderful design that echoed the engraving on the wedding band. He also managed to produce it ahead of schedule so I did not have to worry about having it done in time.My wife was thrilled! I would recommend you see Kip if you have any custom jewelry ideas that you want to bring to life.

Bought our wedding rings and bands from James, 6 years later the diamond fell out of her ring and was lost... she called and he basically told her too bad and that it was her fault didn’t offer to look at it or anything..

The sapphire came out of my wedding ring and I decided to go to James & Son Jewellery Studio, which is now owned by Kip James, to have a new stone put in the original. The new stone and setting are beautiful. I highly recommend Kip.

I was lucky enough to have my engagement ring custom made by Kip, he is truly gifted in his craft, was able to pick the type of gold and he can customize anything you want. Highly recommend if you want something unique that will last a lifetime!

We had a fantastic experience working with Kip. He was able to custom make myself and my fiancé's wedding band. The process was seamless and quick, I especially liked how he carved a mock up of our bands, which gave a much better idea than any sort of online modelling would have (which is done at other spots downtown). He even took the care to check up on my engagement ring, noticing a loose diamond, and cleaning it for me. Highly highly recommend!

I went to Mr. Kip James to place a custom order for my wedding ring. I asked if he could transform a grenade pin, and my mother's engagement ring and wedding ring. After a few emails I went into his shop and we roughed out a design for the new ring. Kip presented me with the finished product (the photo with a whale background) only a week or so later! I'm very pleased because this ring is not only sentimental, but is also uniquely me.Thank you Mr. Kip James!

This was a wonderful experience. I needed to get my wedding ring resized, as it was my grandmothers and she had much smaller hands than me. I spent a long time looking at options until I found this place. He was wonderful, I have no complaints! It took a week to do, just as he told me it would, and it was affordable as well, something that a bride in a budget was happy with. I will definitely be coming back here if I need anything done with my jewelry.

Hands down the best place for jewelry repair in HRM! Kip is friendly and knowledgeable and he does the repairs in house himself. I did quite a number on my engagement ring which other jewellers advised would need to be sent away for work (at a steep price and long lead time). Kip offered a very fair price and got my ring fixed up like new in a quick time frame. A true craftsman who I will be trusting with all my jewelry repairs going forward!
