Our experiences with Ottewell Animal Clinic have been lovely. I don't think I've written a review before, but after the past month, feel it's absolutely necessary. Our German Shepherd was unfortunately diagnosed with Lymphoma, meaning that it was terminal. Dr. Muzyka is our vet, and the professionalism, and absolutely wonderful care she provided both to us and our Charlie were beyond what I can even describe. She always made time for us, for our questions, and we could just tell that she cared. It made one of the hardest months of our lives just a little bit more manageable.Thank you so much to Dr. Muzyka and all of the staff at Ottewell Animal Clinic, we appreciate you more than we can express in words.The Maguires

The care for my pets over the past 15+ years has been very good, until a couple of weeks ago. It was 4:40 on a Thursday afternoon and I knew the clinic was open until 6. When I called (thought my wee pup had eaten grapes), I was told that while the doctor was in, they wouldn't see my dog because they were leaving and told me that I needed to take her to emergency. Needless to say, I wasn't happy to being paying a huge bill at emergency for a 20 minute appointment that easily could have been addressed by my local vet clinic, where they actually know my dog.Not at all happy about this, and will be taking my pets to Capilano vet clinic where they hopefully care a bit more about long term customers.

GREAT SERVICE.This place is not my usual vet, but I had to take my moms bird in for a broken toe and they got me in the day of. Very grateful for that as my mom was very worried. (Called at 8:30am and they were able to get me in at 1pm).I got there and the place is very clean, I’d feel comfortable bringing my own animals here.The vet was very gentle and friendly to my moms bird, that’s obviously the most important aspect of bringing an animal to the vet, besides the vets knowledge.The vet gave me great instructions and everything was pretty straight forward. I walked away satisfied with my vet visit.I am pretty sure the prices are consistent with other places as well. $117 for pain meds, antibiotics and the bird inspection.Overall I am pleased with my visit (again I have only been here once, due to the fact that it’s not close to my house, but it was one of the avian vets in Edmonton).

The Veterinarians are passionate and truly care about the animals they treat, and their owners. They put their patients before the cost of their treatments.They are up to date with the medical treatments and the medications they offer. The experience and expertise is a comfort and I feel safe and Relaxed leaving my pets in their capable hands.The entire staff members, vet techs to frontline office are friendly, caring and informative and are a TEAM. I'd rather have a team of professionals looking after my beloved pet"

Dr. Pettifor is wonderful. She treats my cat with such love and calms her down as soon as she enters the room. She is a gentle and thorough veterinarian. She is honest and truly cares for your pet. I would 100% recommend her.

On my 3rd dog now and they have for decades treated me and my families pets so well. Had a few instances where money really isn't an issue but when it came time to even up$$, very reasonable indeed.

We recently moved to the area and were looking for a new vet and I looked up reviews for this place which all seemed very promising and they weren't wrong. We've seen Dr. Barb Muzyka a few times now as my cat was sick and each time we get in to the room we don't have to wait basically at all so very punctual and my cat is doing much better! Dr. Muzyka is a very sweet, kind hearted person who treats your pet very gently. On top of all the great service and good vibes their prices are extremely reasonable. I have already recommended several of my family and my friends here!

The doctors are great, but the front desk staff are short and abbraisive. They get snappy if you ask too many questions and are impatient if you have a situation that can't be resolved in 15 seconds. I had 5 animals with them and had to pull them all to a different vet because the front desk staff was so unhelpful. Having a sick pet is tough enough without having someone be rude and snotty towards you. If I could deal with the vets directly, I would cinsider coming back, otherwise - no way!

We switched Veterinarians in the latter days of our geriatric canine friend's life, and couldn't have been happier with the compassion, care, and professionalism of Ottewell Animal Clinic's staff and Doctors. Our dear lumbering beastie Princess couldn't have asked for better.
