Loved this place! Discovered it randomly while visiting Sherbrooke and I will definitely be making a trip back! Found an autographed copy of Louise Penny and I’m sure if I had stayed longer, I would have found so many more treasures. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great place to find hidden treasures:)

A wonderful little shop, packed with surprising treasures. I spent close to an hour browsing, discovering new writers and rediscovering old favorites. The woman behind the counter — Janice, I think — was very friendly and helpful. She mentioned that Black Cat has been in operation for 22 years. I hope they stay around for 22 more!

I found the store using google maps, when I ran out of reading material during a week long cottage vacation in the eastern townships. This is a small, one room bookstore, that was well worth the trip to find. The walls are packed with well organized shelves, floor to ceiling, with decent used books, and a good selection of new books - with a wide variety of subjects. It looks like they screen out the garbage" in their used book collection - trolling through their shelves was a worthwhile experience."
