I have put off wearing glasses permanently for years due to the fact that all shopping experiences pertaining to glasses feed the masses in cliche. I really looked for a place that was a little more European en vogue and when I walked into Spex By Ryan, I knew that I had finally found a place that was progressive. Each associate was personable and directed their all round knowledge towards my energy, wants and needs. In addition, the team went beyond service to find the frames that I wanted.I move provinces a lot with work but will always come back to friends that care about my eyes as much as I do.

Got my glasses and sunglasses from here about 5 years ago and they are still going strong. They are MATSUDA M3028 and M3008. At this point, these have more than recovered their initial investment which is what it was. An investment. I considered how often I wear my glasses and how they may as well be a part of my face as much as my nose is. I also considered that if you spend the time and money to get eyewear that sings, it becomes an iconic part of who you are. As an example of what I mean, consider Edna Mode from the Incredibles moves. If you had to sketch her I imagine her eyewear would be in the top 3 things you would include.In conclusion, much like tires, mattresses, and shoes if you wear glasses more than once a month it is well worth your time and money to get a pair that will last and be quintessentially you". SPEX provides this in spades. Thank you for coming to my TED talk."

Exceptional staff, selection and quality! Ryan and his team welcome everyone that walks in like family. Rather than walls of the same glasses you see at every store they hand select from an abundant variety of unique and high quality frames, patiently helping you find the perfect fit for you.They were able to tell me the story of each brand, including personal relationships with the designers. Ryan's passion for eye wear was amazing, his knowledge about the entire process from choosing designers, to selecting and shaping the right lenses and coatings was fascinating.As a first time wearer, I went to nearly every store in the city and just saw more of the same every time, Ryan's unique selection, knowledge and passion made the purchase easy and fun!If you are shopping for glasses in SK, do not buy anywhere else until you have visited Ryan and his team!

He and his staff are the best in the city and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. They are beyond patient and will spend as much time as you need to get that perfect look. I’ve purchased a pair of chrome hearts glasses from Ryan and had an okay experience with him. I’ve also had lenses cut for a pair of Yuichi Toyama from the shop in Saskatoon which was a great experience.But I had an awful experience with his employee Max in Regina. He said he could do custom transitions on a pair of Cartier that I had. He broke one of the pieces, said that he could replace it for $50, but then tried to charge me $100 for the part when I came to get the glasses. The repair was subpar, and I wouldn’t have taken my glasses to him if I knew I was going to get them back in a worse condition. He also told me that if the part broke again then they would not be able yo fix it, which doesn’t make sense because I never broke it in the first place. Personally, I will never go back here for my optical needs and I’ll never recommend it to my friends neither.

Amazing place for frames. Selection of high end frames is really good and the store has a really cool, trendy atmosphere. Max did an amazing job helping me find the right kind of particular glasses that I was wanting. Jason was awesome at creating the perfect fit with adjusting my frames. Very impressed by their selection and service. Customer for life now.
