Crown Jewel Cottage

I made a great choice by booking this cottage for my family and I! Worth the drive for. Sheila was super nice, helpful and promt with her responses whenever we had a question. This cottage was quiet, clean, cozy and private- perfect getaway, especially if you live in the city! Would definitely come back again!

My family along with 2 others stayed a week in July at the Crown Jewel. In total we had 6 adults and 4 boys under the age of 6 and I can confidently say that everyone had a great time! The cottage is clean, spacious and located on a nice quiet spot on the lake. Sheila was very thorough and quick to respond to all of our questions throughout the process. I would definitely recommend this lovely place!The only downfall for us was that the lake had a lot of seaweed. Sheila and her team do remove the seaweed around the end of the dock so that you can take a quick dip but if you want to do any actual swimming into the lake, there is no chance. For us, the kids were happy to jump in and float around the end of the dock, so it worked out fine

We went in a group of 4 families to the cottage for a long weekend. It was beautiful, spacious, well decorated and very clean. The patio area is huge with ample seating, great dock for fishing, and fire pit with some wood already set up to get started. There were lots of pots and pans, 2 ovens, a full size fridge and even a bar fridge. We go to a cottage as a group 2-3 times a year and this was the nicest cottage we have stayed at. It felt quite secluded with no noise at all.Very conveniently located near a bait stare that sells all kinds of things, area for swimming and ice cream shop.Sheila was amazing and so responsive.We hope to be able to visit again in the future!

Cottage was amazing- super spacious, rooms were great, kitchen was super nice and furniture was comfortable. Location overall was really great w a park nearby with great swimming and a park for the kids.There were issues with the AC on arrival but was quickly sorted out- however the place is very large so it took a long time to cool the place down. The area near the water was un-usable due to a lot of goose droppings all over the sandy area and near the dock. We contemplated cleaning it up but ended up just using the nearby beach/park down the road. Also the dock had no ladder. So getting out of the water was not the easiest. You can’t really walk out of the water. The above issues would not have affected the score so much but it is (for a good reason, as it’s a beautiful, huge cottage) on the higher price range.The cottage is incredible and the location is overall really great.

We stayed at the Crown Jewel Cottage and had a wonderful experience. It was very clean and spacious. We loved the games room. Great fishing off the dock. The sunsets are spectacular. It's a very peaceful and private place. I highly recommend it.

We spent a weekend at this place and it was gorgeous. Sheila was very accommodating to our needs and extremely responsive to our questions. We brought our boat in from a nearby boat launch, docked it at the dock. Great place for a very rustic feeling location but this is no cabin in the woods, it was almost a resort!We will be looking for an excuse to get back there soon.

Very nice building. The sleeping area sucks as only one private room was available and 8 people had to sleep in one room. Water is not swimmable and there is no boat provided. They charged for a swing that was not broken and we never use. There was no other activities close by to enjoy. Owner kept bugging us while we were there and killed our buzz two nights in a row. Just save your time and pay 500$ more and go to another place.

I had a horrible experience staying in this cottage. The owner, Sheila is so greedy and she plays dirty games just to take more money from renters. She constantly changed the rental fee, cleaning fee even after our agreement, just to make more money. Plus she made us so uncomfortable during our 4 days stay in her cottage by calling and texting so many time. On top of everything, she didn't want to return our $1000 deposit, even after her property manager inspected the cottage before we leave and she said everything is in perfect condition and we will receive the full deposit back. I won't recommend this place to anyone because you will feel exhausted after you stay in this cottage.Also keep in mind the the lake looks completely different than the pictures. The weeds are all over in the lake and you can't go in the water. We were totally disappointed when we arrived at the cottage.

It was the worst cottage we went to. Owner was bery stingy and wanted to charge us for every little thing they could. Aside from uneven backyard , there were flies and mosquitos everywhere with no amenities provided of any kind. The deck was not stable and unsafe. Please be nice to bob the spider that has many webs around the deck and gives a sense of spookiness to the place. Fire pit was fun but we had to bring our own wood which is usually provided by the landlord. Becarefulbas most outdoor furniture are in bad shape and can break easily.

Four families, total of 13, enjoyed a weekend stay at the Crown Jewel Cottage. Everyone had space to gather or seek quietness. As we brought kayaks, the waterfront provided hours of additional activities. As before, Sheila was accessible and accomodating . We all want to come back and create more great memories. Thanks again!
