Fantastic place! Lots of items available for boaters and the lake cabin or house. Full service repair shop and boats and pontoons for sale. Great staff, very knowledgeable and friendly, I would recommend Shell Lake Marine to everyone even if you have to make a detour to get there!!

Lost a wheel bearing on a Saturday. They got me in, had the parts and fixed my trailer in about 45 mins.

Outstanding service from the whole team. Ordered a Manitou pontoon and a lift last fall. Both delivered in May. Tom, Courtney, Travis and team did a phenomenal job from sale to installation. I have done business with them in the past and will continue into the future. First rate sales and service!

I have been hiring and paying for service providers for 30 years in my ownership of 2 cabins and 3 homes and have never had a RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE like I did at Shell Lake Marine. We purchased a floating dock of which we have never had before in our 12 years of owning cabins and waited to finish paying until they fixed a pole that was not set right creating an extremely loud and annoying squeaking. They only asked for 1k up front and the rest at installation. However, when the nice men arrived to install it (of which we TIPPED THEM for what we thought was a job well done at the time!) they stated I needed to pay for the rest. We are at our cabin without a checkbook and when I called the company to pay that day they said they wouldn't take payment over the phone. After that we learned of the squeak and they said they would come back and reset the pole. Since we were not back up to the cabin for 2 weeks, we waited to ensure it was done well before I mailed the check as I have learned that the hard way over the years to pay too soon or you never see/hear from them again. The owner or manager called me and was RUDE and INCONSIDERATE in words and tone when I said I was waiting to send payment. I said that A) they don't take credit cards which I would have preferred and would have ensured they had their money that day and B) I would be happy to send 50% more until we got back up there in a week to check the work. He hung up. When I called today to see if our ladder was in and ready for installation she said it was but I had to prepay before they would install...as if my payment that was 3 weeks later than they expected made me high risk on a $500 ladder. It was a point they were making it seems. When I stated to the sales person of which I had dealt with over the last year on this since placing the order that the guy who called me was awful in his customer service she said they know longer will sell the ladder to me and said to go somewhere else. I am in sales and customer service for a career and cannot believe the way I was treated for paying late" by 3 weeks when A) there was an issue and B) they don't take payment over the phone. NOT a good reflection of the WI North Country way of doing business at all."

We have been using the Shell Lake Marine since they opened. Our first purchase was a used pontoon boat, ski boat, dock and one lift. Ended up purchasing a used lift which we quickly upgraded to another new one. We also upgraded the ski boat to a used sea ray speed boat that we love. Our pontoon is a 1994 which runs like a champ as well as the sea ray. That’s because Tom, Kourtney and Crew take care of ALL our boats, lift and dock needs. They service, winterize, and store our boats. Anytime we have a problem they are there to help us, even on a few holiday weekends which was greatly appreciated, and not forgotten. There is no place we would go other than Shell Lake Marine. Support this Hometown Family run Business. There is NO PLACE that compares. Everyone that works at Shell Lake Marine is top notch! Excellent prices and GREAT customer service. Tom and his staff are wonderful! If you are looking for any boating needs do not hesitate to stop and visit with these guys! They are the BEST!! We LOVE our new dock and lift! Thank you!!

Dropped off my boat on Monday for a tune up of both motors. Picked it up Thursday, reasonable and quick. Kyle in service is very professional and helpful.
