Garner Lake Provincial Park
Great campsite, the older man and woman that look after it are super friendly, nice to talk to and helpful. My only complaint would be the shower temperature needs to be worked on. While I didn't really have a problem in the ladies shower my son said his shower was cold then warm then freezing cold for the rest of the time. A minor issue but when paying for a shower you should get a least a hot one! All in all we would go back!

Great park for all ages. Clean with great amenities such as flush toilets, showers and numerous picnic shelters. A variety of activities (fishing, swimming, paddling, hiking, etc. ) are available. No charge for using the dumping station.

I really liked this park, is old growth forest so the smell is interesting. The sites are very private we stayed in #7 I found it was quite close to the front sites tho and the people there were somewhat loud at night, but good thing the park has a conservation officer driving there in the evening and it made me feel safe, he was responding to other’s complaints and seemed like he was doing a very good job. The beach was nice and clean, the water not the best but also not the worst. I took note of some of the better sites if we decide to go back. I would come back I liked it. The kids liked it too. Small park but nice. The downside is that the bathrooms are not kept that clean and tidy and you also have to PAY for showers at this park.

We stopped here for about an hour. Walked the trail along the lake. A very nice trail, wide, flat, easy. But not much view of the lake. Drove thru the campground, only two campers there at the time. Sites looked nice, reasonable amount of privacy/trees between sites, no views of the lake. Small beach and a boat launch just outside the campground.

Nice clean camp ground.. stalls are pretty snug but comfy for a provincial park… Garner Lake is beautiful… nice clean lake, great sandy beach and open grass areas.. 5 star for Alberta

This is a great camp ground for a weekend. Well-maintained, and clean. Two small issues are (1) there are a few playgrounds and kids play until 11 pm. If you are looking for a quiet place, Garner Lake may not be for you, or at least avoid playground zones. (2) Price-wise, firewood is reasonable ($10; enough for 1.5 days), but when I purchased they were wet and didn't catch a fire quickly. So, be prepared. Also, it has a very nice tracking route, but don't forget your bug spray! Enjoy
