I don’t usually write reviews but this was especially bad. Day of, they cancelled our reservation for 7 people as they do not take reservations for less than 8. Fine, we decided to come an hour earlier to make sure we could get a table which we did. Service was incredibly slow. 20 minutes to get drinks, 50 minutes to finally get our food orders in. We’d been there for over 90 minutes by the time we got our food, which was overpriced for the small portions offered. The Walleye dish is advertised to come with peas but arrived without. When asked about it, server blamed it on a “printing error” and offered no price comp. The tartar sauce was flavourless and there was way too much breading on the skimpy pieces of fish. Several of us requested our fries be upgraded to the special garlic rosemary ones, and this was applied to all of us at $3.00 extra each. And the amount of fries you get is equivalent to a kids fry from McDonald’s. We were there for a total of 3 hours with only two rounds of drinks plus entrees (no appys or desserts). I want to cut our server some slack as he was clearly overwhelmed with too many tables and it seemed he was making all the cocktails himself. There was maybe 2 servers for the entire restaurant. This place needs more staff as the food wasn’t great but the service was the worst part. Don’t come hungry as you’ll be waiting a while.

Went there during a conference on a Saturday night and our server was great, the food was a miss. My food was overcooked and my wife's food was boring. Definitely pub food, I'd put them on the same pedestal as a rink burger. For being SK's upscale resort" the food was meh at best. The owner or manager/whoever he was came up to our table to "warn us" about how busy they were. He told us our food was going to be a while as they were swamped which we would have been completely understanding of if the restaurant hadn't been about 1/3 full. He then proceeded to sit around and drink a beer while all of his wait staff worked well and provided great service. Not worth the $75 for 2 entrees and 1 cocktail."

Decent atmosphere, friendly staff, food was okay, but extremely slow service and they screwed up our order and forgot to put a pizza in. Had to get the pizza to go and very long wait to get service and put our order in. Pop machine ran out of CO2 and had to send back the coke as it was flat and undrinkable. Server tried his best and did give us a discount on the order which was appreciated.

I have been a regular visitor here this year. The food is great and the service is outstanding! We will definitely be back to enjoy the friendly staff and great atmosphere in beautiful Northern Saskatchewan. If you are in the area, be sure to check it out!

We dined at The Wyld two nights while we were staying at the resort. It’s great to have good dining and entertainment within the complex. The first night we dined, there was an excellent acoustic duo. Between the two days, we tried the elk burger, steak sandwich, blanco pizza and local walleye. The elk burger was our fav! It’s so tender and savory. You can’t go wrong with the pizzas, too. The Blanco Pizza was a home run. We also tried the quinoa and greens salad which is a delicious accompaniment to the meal. For drinks, we tried a few of the local IPAs and shared a few bottles of Joel Gott Zinfandel 2019. They have a great selection available. Our server both nights was Jen and she was the best. She even asked me my name which rarely happens when I dine. She made many suggestions for food and drink when I asked and was very attentive on service even Kern it being very busy. We return in two weeks and I can’t wait to try more dishes!

Prices were surprisingly good for such a beautiful resort, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely come back here for the elk burger

The restaurant didn't have a vegan option (beyond just salads) but they were extremely accommodating and made a great risotto" with mushrooms and vegetables very quickly

The atmosphere is laid back yet lively and is great for a casual meal during your getaway. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly. The wait times could be improved a bit, but it was certainly not too bad.Between the two of us, we ordered the fish and chips, elk burger, and poutine. The fish and chips and burger were quite good and seemed fresh. However, we swapped the poutine for regular fries with gravy once we saw that they were using shredded marble cheese instead of cheese curds. I was a bit surprised that an eatery at a resort of this caliber would make such a substitution, especially considering that the resort seemed to be detail oriented in other areas. To the restaurant management: please consider fixing this; as a resort offering an authentic Canadian experience, you should really respect this staple of Canadian cuisine.
