CIBC Branch with ATM

No help from the workers and they always seem to mess up something. My husband and mom both had Cibc but they always charge weird interests. When I called them to question about it, they kept diverting it to the next caller and finally said that I should wait or mail them a letter. Wait for around 2.5 months and no response so we decided to cancel everything with bank.

I feel like the last thing this branch needs to worry about is customer service. Please focus on customer wait time. It is too slow. I waited 45 minutes with 3 ppl in front of me.

If I could give a zero I would. Unhelpful staff when my card was hacked and fraudulent activities occurred. They also told me to they cannot help me recover any of the fraudulent amount. After I close all my accounts and reopened new accounts they did not update my mortgage to the new account. A terrible headache and experience. Do not bank hereI am also sitting with one of the agent who is incapable with the questions she is asking. Honestly if I didn’t have all this work to cancel and update from one to another

Head Office needs to look into this location asap. Service here is terribly slow and unfriendly. Staff is clowning around in the offices while the lineup for a teller grows.Several idle staff members in the facility avoiding eye contact when they need to step up and help customers with their financial needs.The place is super dirty as well next time you visit, look at the ceiling!The vibe at this bank is terrible. When we go in to deal with our personal/business finances, the last thing a customer wants to hear is rowdiness and laughter from the staff members here. Please head office, you need to get this location in order asap.

Horrible customer service from the moment you walk in. I made an appointment to open an account, I told the worker at the front and she just walked away from me and I had to find someone else to help me. The worker helping with my account set up was no better, didn’t ask me questions about what account I wanted or how I would like it set up. He spelled my name wrong on the documents and didn’t realize till the end when I told him so I had to spend extra time waiting for him to redo everything. Didn’t help me with setting up my PIN either just gave me my card and told me to go to an ATM and I couldn’t do it because he didn’t set the card up properly so I had to go back to him and wait longer for him to fix it. Overall horrible experience don’t recommend this branch for any banking services

I went to CIBC bank at 7021 Markham Rd at around 7:30 pm and found a person sleeping inside by the bank machines in the corner and it smelled like weed and and something else. April 23, 2023.

Last Friday I am in at 10am to get coins. The bank staff said the head teller is on holidays, the second teller doesn't come in until 11am. There is no one available to open the safe.Today there were 10 people waiting ahead of me. A staff approached to help. I told her I am here to get coins.She said I will need to remain in line. After 25 minutes, I am now told by the teller the head teller is still on holidays and the person who knows the safe is not in as yet? Needless to say I was furious. Should one not schedule someone with such an important role to work earlier if the head teller is on holidays? Where is the efficiency and convenience for their customers? Why would you have someone come in on a Thursday and Friday at 11am that can open the safe? Businesses usually do their banking early in the morning so they can attend to other matters. I am disappointed. I will not be returning to this bank location again.

Very poor customer care.They don’t want to help customers. Very few old staff are helpful.My draft which is from Td bank is not cleared since 15 days and they are not bothered when I called. The teller told me it will take 4-6 days. It’s now 15 days when I called I get an answer we don’t know why is it on hold?Very irresponsible answers. They don’t want to help customers hence closed all my accounts and moved to Td 4 years ago. Still have few accounts which I feel I should close as they will never improve.

Worst experience! They don’t care about your questions, your waiting time, the front door lady even don’t care about your money. Sad, you don’t want my money, I will give to other banks! Worst hiring decision, worst management!
