W.A.C. Bennett Dam Visitor Centre

Tour was great, exciting and very informative, as were the exhibits in the visitor's centre.

Enjoyed the displays. Amazing that they showed the negative side of what the dam did to the First Nation peoples way of life and how it stopped the migration patterns of many species of wildlife including moose and caribou.

This is a super cool place to visit. If you have a boat you can even use the boat launch to venture around Williston Lake, which was created by the dam and stretches from here to Mackenzie, BC!

This was a great place for our little guy to look around, so many interesting exhibits!We were in time to take the bus tour but as it was a school bus, it was not exactly equipped for taking a toddler along, understandable but disappointing.We bought some very cute onesies in the gift shop as well as some gifts for our nieces.The only other disappointing aspect was the cafeteria, it had little to no food offered except some lukewarm soup and bags of chips.The views of the dam were spectacular, we drove across it and back, very impressive.

Pretty nice visitor center with some interesting info. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they admitted the fact that the dam had a negative impact on the local native peoples and the ecosystem including blocking migration routes. The guided tour was a disappointment and isn’t really worth doing in my opinion as they stopped showing the powerhouse a few years ago and that’s really what I wanted to see. I guess the lawyers must have put a stop to that. Lame. They just show a video then take you to a view point on the other side of the dam and back to the visitor center. You can just go up to the view point on your own as well.Our guide Jenna did do a great job though with the little she was allowed to show us. Told some fun facts and was able to answer most of my questions.

Was nice even during the covid 19 can still look around visitor centre closed and visitor site but can still look around very beautiful and security is friendly

Great place to visit and see where a lot of the power in British Columbia is made. We got to tour inside of the dam twice over the years. Last time we visited was 2013.

A great half day free entrance and ride over the dam wall,

Check in with Security at the gate, able to drive to the Visitor Center and walk around. Visitor Center is closed so only able to enjoy the outdoor attractions. Next was to drive across the dam and back.
