HSBC Bank

I received nothing short of a very personalized and welcoming service from this HSBC branch. If you have an appointment with Orlando, you can be rest assured that he will give the best service, from making and confirming appointments, requesting paperwork over email instead of coming to branch and much much more. I will suggest this particular branch to everyone in my circle.

I went in and had an appointment with Bolun, a Financial advisor. I asked about mortgage rates as mine is up for renewal soon. He had exceptional service and did push any sales on me. I’ve been to a few banks previously but I always felt some pressure to sign with them. Bolun also gave great advice on what I should do as the mortgage rates are insanely high. Overall I would recommend this branch and to find Bolun.

Ridiculous customer service. Came in asking about information about my account, was told I needed to book an appointment despite the branch being completely empty, so we booked for 10:30AM for another day. The morning of the appointment we received a call from them saying if we can’t make it by 10:30 we will lose the appointment because of other clients, so we arrived extra early, only for the service rep to take 10 minutes to find who our appointment was with (still a completely empty branch with no clients), then once they found it we were told to wait for the advisor to come out and greet us, and we ended up leaving after waiting for the advisor for another 10 minutes (again, empty branch). No clue how to handle client relationships, horrible attitude, never coming here again.

Excellent customer service. Tellers are so nice. Teller Maky Woo, was very kind made me confortable whenever I visit this branch. Banker Denise helped me open my account in no time.Especially, Hageman Chen helped me without my request. I saved significant amount of money when conversion dollars because of him. He arranged to open account very fast inorder to better coversion rate. Fast and very kind service.They go out of ways to help you.I can’t thank them enough. I am so glad that I visited this branch!

Minnie and Bolun followed up with my investments and provided many mutual fund options. I highly recommend them!

Not sure why other clients are having such a bad experience at this branch. I had been coming here for awhile and have always had a good, pleasant experience. Always got what I needed and professional way. The people here were always helpful.

HSBC is fine if your needs are basic (no better or worse than other banks). But if you need banking support beyond basic deposits and withdrawals (even if you are a Premier customer), then they only frustrate you. Their website contains no useful information, their 866 support lines are useless, and their in-branch people are defensive and only good at finding excuses for the bank's backward policies. Try asking about mortgage prepayment options or a certified cheque ... easily done at TD (my main bank) but a major production at HSBC. I fell for the promo rates they ran years ago - my bad.

Terrible customer service by Jennifer Hin Wai Yu!! My mom came in asking to open a senior bank account and was told to book an appointment. That’s fine, but then she proceeded to interrogate her like she’s committing fraud!? Seriously, if this is your bank policy, you can explain politely. Not make her feel like she’s unqualified! I mean, she is a potential customer. She then told my mom to open a bank account with TD?? This is a joke right? If this is how HSBC work with potential customers, I can’t imagine how you serve actual customers…terrible….if I can give zero stars I would.
