The first year of my son's life I spent a lot of time barefoot at home. As I was nearing the end of my maternity leave my ankle was swollen and my feet were always sore. I went to my doctor and he attributed my sore feet to wear and tear and he said there wasn't much I could do for it. I wasn't satisfied with this answer so I decided to go into Health Walks to have a foot assessment done. Carrie was awesome and she explained to me that I needed better arch support. She recommended I wear Birks around the house. This saved me feet! I now live in my Birks at home and I make sure to buy footwear that support my flat feet. Thanks Health Walks!

I’ve been here twice-once to buy Birkenstocks, another time to get my daughters feet checked on. Both times were excellent experience. The sales person helped me find just the right sandals for my flat feet and bunions. The podiatrist related very well to my toddler and we both left happy.

I have been a server for 42 yrs , 3 yrs ago I was having problems with my feet . I went to healthwalks and they suggested birkinstock insoles . Well let me say I have not had sore feet since , they are a godsend , I also told some coworkes and friends and they went and bought as a matter one girl I work with bought 3 for all her shoes lol . would recommend highly

I have bought several pairs of sandals at Healthwalks, and my work shoes. The very best investment I have ever made. I am on my feet al, day at work, and the shoes were designed for people that work on their feet. I will be back soon for another pair.

As a retail worker, my feet know the importance of a quality shoe. Long hours on concrete floors are enough to make any foot cry. I've made my last two purchases for work footwear at HealthWalks in New Glasgow and they are always happy to help! Their product knowledge is second to none and even though I usually have a difficult time finding a shoe that works (Size 11, Triple E width), they always have a shoe that works for me! They have a wonderful selection and I would highly, highly recommend.

Have bought several pairs of Birkenstock’s and Fit Flops! Great selection and lots of sizes. Have also gotten orthotics from here that helped my plantar fasciitis!

I was at NG clinic for foot orthotics fitting on Weds. While I was there a gentleman arrived who did not have an appointment. He was treated respectfully and with such grace by the front staff even though he could have been turned away and was definitely having difficulty following the covid -19 protocol that he was gently asked to follow. Challenging times handled very professionally. Well done.

I can not say enough good stuff about Karey and the HealthWalks team. I saw the Podiatrist, Marcus, and he was very helpful, knowledgeable and I know exactly what treatment I need for my toe. I would highly recommend him! I also bought a pair of Canada Toe Warmer winter boots last year and I absolutely love them. Warm, comfortable, supportive and they go with everything. The only thing I was sad about was having to put them away for the summer!

Typical Pictou County Independent Business - Useless/Garbage/Crooks. Don't waste your money going to them. I went in, with a prescription, for insole orthotics. Carrie tried to offload nothing but her garbage on me, and then turned around and charged $95 for her consulting fee"
