We loved the Anchor Inn! The rooms were charming, beds comfortable, Georgie's restaurant was delicious with amazing views. The live music in the pub was so fun, and the Blue Barrel Cafe was a delight. Easy to walk wherever we needed to go, and the staff were all so lovely.

Our room was clean and adequate. The room had all the usual issues of an older hotel; not enough plug ins in the right locations, and the light switches are on the outside of the bathroom areas lighting up the room at night when a bathroom visit is required. The most annoying thing was the toilet. It was very low to the floor and uncomfortable to use. That quick $200 update would be appreciated.Just heard from the owner. I always frequent businesses where the owner is engaged and responds to reviews.

This was one of the most expensive hotels I booked during our whole trip in NL and honestly it wasn't worth the amount of money paid. The towels were stained, there was no complimentary breakfast in the morning and the staff at reception were ok but not the most welcoming. One plus though, was the live music at the bar where you can go for a drink to relax after a long day.

Checked in late (9pm) after a long drive but staff were there to greet us (I had called earlier to let them know). Stayed in a large room with two comfy beds and a mini fridge in the annex (house on the hill). Had a beautiful deck overlooking Twillingate Harbour where we enjoyed our morning tea. Didn’t really walk anywhere but Long Point Lighthouse was a quick 8 min drive as was Auk Island Winery in Durrell. Stopped at some craft shops, talked to the friendly (and informative) locals, and picked up some great souvenirs. Highly recommended!

Rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable but a bit confusing, switches not near what they control and not enough plugs.

I thought that it was appropriate that my lunch of carrot ginger soup had an iceberg in the middle of it. The soup was delicious!

A magical place. Lovely room and truly breathtaking views. Comfortable, clean, and the staff are first-rate. Can't wait to return!

Clean rooms, very comfy beds. Right on the harbor, so view is good if you're on that side.Food at the restaurant is very good.Pub downstairs as live entertainment and good craft beer on tap.
