Stonecroft Inn

I had a less than satisfactory experience with a motel where I had booked a one-night stay over the phone. During the booking process, no mention was made of any cancellation policy. However, upon arrival, I found the establishment to be run-down, old, and emitting an unpleasant odor.To confirm my suspicions, I requested to see the room before proceeding with the booking. However, the lady at the front desk refused, stating that it would be too much trouble. She also used a rude tone of voice while asking me if I wanted the room or not. As a result of this interaction, I decided to cancel my reservation for the night.Unfortunately, the motel still charged my credit card for the full amount of $160 without providing a refund. When I attempted to address the matter with the owner, I found them to be unprofessional and discourteous. Rather than listening to my concerns and attempting to find a mutually beneficial solution, the owner was argumentative and ultimately hung up on me.In light of my experience, I do not recommend this establishment and would rate it zero stars.Furthermore, it should be noted that the pictures of the motel presented online do not accurately reflect the actual conditions of the establishment in real life. The discrepancies between the online images and the actual conditions of the motel contributed to my dissatisfaction with the experience.

0 stars! We stayed here for the Taylor Swift concert in Detroit and arrived to find our room was not ready upon check in time. It seemed the people in front of us were also waiting for their room. Given the volume of guests we understood the delay and waited 30 minutes. It was noted the staff did not apologize at all for the delay. A day after checking out we were sent a message accusing us of stealing 3 hand towels and 3 bath towels from the room. We were only provided with 2 of each towel type so this is not even possible. We did not move any of our towels out of the bathroom. When we called to dispute we were met with a rude and dismissive manager. Instead of considering the possibility that housekeeping may have made a mistake as they were busy with the high volume of guests we were not given an option of recourse. It is incredibly insulting to accuse someone of stealing and management clearly cannot take accountability for their lack of planning. If you do have to stay here please document everything when you leave.

Lovely little motel! friendly and knowledgeable staff, suites were modern and very clean, included a simple breakfast. Rate was very fair and the check in time was flexible, as you can check in by midnight. would definitely come back next time we stay in windsor!

Love this hotel! The rooms are always clean and have been recently updated. Customer service at the front desk is wonderful, friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to install outlets at both bedside lamps in each room as my husband and I like to have our phones next to us at bedtime for our morning alarm. There could also be an outlet installed at each bar so a computer could be set up there as well. Front desk staff accommodate our reservations and always assist us which is why The Stonecroft Inn is now the only hotel we reserve at and recommend when travelling to Windsor! We also like supporting locally owned businesses and this is one of the best! Support local!

Stonecroft Inn was perfect for an overnight stay in Windsor. The room was clean and the beds and pillows comfortable. Upon check in the staff was courteous. Will stay again.

Very clean and spacious room. The continental breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Close to the Detroit border as well. This place deserves to have a much higher Google rating in my opinion.

Great place to stay. The cost-value ratio is right. The service was impeccable. And the breakfast is good enough. Highly recommended.

Our April 2023 stay at the Stonecroft Inn was our first. We visit Essex County every 2 months or so and chose the Stonecroft this time as they were offering a better rate than the Comfort Inn across the road that we usually stay at. (Previously, I had been reluctant to stay at an independent hotel, assuming lower standards; I was wrong!) We were very happy with our night here. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast offerings in the morning were plenty to fill our bellies. The front desk staff were welcoming and knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful stay! It helped that we were unexpectedly upgraded to a beautiful suite, but it was very clear from the whole place that any room would have been beautiful, sparkling clean, and comfortable. The wifi was great, the shower pressure was terrific, and the continental breakfast was enough to get us back on the road. I would highly recommend the Stonecroft Inn. And as a little bonus, it’s a very short walk to the nearby Baskin Robbins!
