Dollar Tree

This is one of those stores where you go in for one thing and leave with bags of merchandise you wouldn't expect to find at a dollar store. It's a very large and clean location with just about every kind of knick knack imaginable. Very conveniently located at the south end Smart Center. Staff are very nice and there is constantly new merchandise. I always pop in if I visit the Walmart next door. Never a disappointing cheap thrill shopping experience.

VERY disappointed with the management at this location. I witnessed a child ACCIDENTALLY break one vase that was $1.25. The mother put the child in the cart apologized to the store staff and continued to shop. She then was in another aisle with plates and the manager made her leave the aisle and got very angry and yelled at her and her CHILD.He was very aggressive and rude for no reason, especially to a small child...The manager had a terrible attitude and clearly does not know how to run a store. Wouldn’t spend my money here...

I had the exact same problem as Karen Mueller back in June. see belowSales clerk was very rude to me also when purchasing some balloons. We ended up having words. This person does not have the personality to be working with the public.

Wow, where to start with this place.. first off they never have consistent stock (always out of Reese’s pieces, cookies, ect.) they REFUSE to take 50s even if your total is 49 dollars, they don’t have tap for debit, and the staff don’t know what products they have. I could let all this slide if the staff actually did their job and were respectful to their customers. I’ve waited my whole break just to be cashed out for one purchase, and was snapped at when asked if I could get some service. They don’t put their customers first. How about you hire someone under the age of 70 who can actually tell the difference between a real and a fake 50 and have cashiers who don’t wander around for no reason. I usually never write reviews but I did this time to save anyone who’s thinking of wasting their time with this place. Just walk down the plaza to Walmart, at least they’re nice there.

place is always tidy considering how much stuff they have. staff are helpful and friendlyOne of my top favourite go to dollar stores they have absolutely everything you thought you wouldn't find any cheaper

I went to the Dollar tree on Mapleview for the first time, and the whole experience was unpleasant, enough for me to warrant coming on here to give a bad review. First situation, went to a staff stocking shelves to ask where to find a certain item, she pointed at the wall and said in the middle, if we have any they will be there...not knowing where she was pointing, I had to ask what isle she was referring to and she said the 1st...was snarky and I didn’t want to ask her any further questions as she seemed she did not want to answer even the first one. I walked away feeling (where is the customer service). I needed more items but decided just to pay for the three things I already had and leave. Get to the cash, tried to make small talk and I say to the cashier, oh I see you have been with the company almost 5 years (as per her name tag), total look of disgust and then a quick answer... yes! I thought wow that didn’t seem welcoming, then as I proceeded to pay for my items with my debit card, she says no tap, I mention that it’s odd there is no tap as it’s almost everywhere now...she says (very rude) well it costs money!! I replied, how would I know this considering I don’t work retail?! She comes back with, well you pay extra for all the features (continues to be rude). I took my receipt, no bye, no thank you, more or less dropped the receipt. Honesty I think the employee dislikes her job and for some reason was offended I mentioned she was there with the company for 5 years, if you are not happy with your job, leave it and find one that will make you happy... life is way to short. Oh and let me remind the Dollar Tree staff, if it wasn’t for your customers, you wouldn’t have a pay cheque. Show some pride in your job.P.S. I will never go there again, will stick with Dollarama! They are always so great there and awesome customer service!

Great selection of items at reasonable prices .

Large, good variety of items, good parking. Typical dollar store, but with more inventory compared to some others.Found what we needed easily, and of course bought too much as you can’t ever just get one thing, haha.

Visited Sunday June 23, 2019 at 5:00 pm. Wanted to buy 3 graduation balloons and a balloon holder. Lady on cash was quite put out that I was purchasing items from the store it seemed. After I had paid she was huffy with me and said that I would have to wait a few minutes. I was first in line and purchased items. So should my order not be completed before the other people in line. I am a paying customer the same as them. What makes their time for important than mine. Apparently my business is not important to dollar tree. Terrible customer service

Change the hours on your website to match your store hours posted in your store window! Huge inconvenience when you plan your morning.
