GP Alterations LTD.

I recently used GP Alterations for the 3rd time and they have consistently surpassed expectations each time. All the repairs they have completed for me have been to heavy duty work clothes (Carhartt heavy cotton duck material). They did repairs to 2 jackets & pants on seperate occasions. Each time I was very pleased with the professional looking as well as strong, long lasting repairs. The work was always done within a couple days and the price has been more than fair. I would definitely recommend their services and rank them 10/10.

We took my daughters grad dress in and told her that it wasn't a rush since we had 2 months. 6 days later that dress fit like a glove and was beautifully taken in. Love that we have such a good service in the Country Club neighborhood.

My mother and I needed our dresses tailored for a wedding. Not only was the work done very quickly (a full 24 hours faster than estimated) but the results fit perfectly! My mom's was the trickiest -- needing shortening not only in the shoulder straps but also hemming the full skirt to knee-length. It went from a baggy mess to a dainty delight.While we were there, several more customers came in - men getting pants hemmed, or a jacket sleeve repaired, women getting darts over a stained skirt ect. This place is popular, and from the care and craftsmanship it is obvious to see why.

I will start this by saying the end result was great -- it was getting there that brings my review down unfortunately.I took a dress in to have taken in slightly and hemmed. I brought it in on a Saturday, and was told that it would be finished by Tuesday or Wednesday -- super quick work! I didn't receive a call so on Friday I phoned to check in as I needed the dress the following day (again, grateful for the quick work). The dress was finished, so I went in to try it on and it was taken in far too much -- about 4 inches too much.Mismeasurements happen, and this is understandable. The frustrating part for me came when she did not take accountability for the error. She insisted that I had put on weight (enough to fill out an additional 4 inches -- in 6 days' time) and continued to act confused about the situation when it was clear what had happened. After some more back and forth, a solution was not offered. I asked her if she could build in a corset back to account for the considerable gap, to which she agreed and it was ready by noon the next day.The end result did not fit as well as I'd hoped, but all things considered, it was great, and she was timely, despite it not being what I initially asked for.
