The instruction by Sifu Kevin Goat is by far the best I have ever had. He has a plethora of experience behind him that he incorporates into his teachings and I love that he is always learning and working to improve his own ability and experience.Sift Goat has also instructed my son in private as well as a class format. He is patient with children and challenges them to be better people as well as martial artists.I would highly recommend the Calgary Gung Fu Academy.

During my approximately 13 years of training in martial arts, I have been taught by many instructors. Few of them have had the dedication, passion, and teaching ability that Kevin possesses. He is an extremely talented martial artist, but an even better teacher. His mix of humour, philosophy, and a no nonsense approach to teaching realistic martial arts is simply exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn self defense, get in better shape, or join a loving community of others pursuing mastery in its many forms.

The whole family trains here and we all love it! Kevin creates a great environment for adults and kids. It's safe, fun and challenging all at the same time. Some weeks, we probably spend more time here then we do at home. Thank you Sifu Kevin for a home away from home!

After reviewing several of Kevin’s “self dense” instructionals I wouldn’t touch this place with a 10 foot pole. Please do your research and learn from people with professional real life experiences. Someone delusional like this will get you killed in real life. Go to a reputable BJJ & MMA gym. This is not it, you’ll learn how to get stabbed while taking off your belt for “self defense”. This is a mcdojo if I’ve ever seen one.

Training with Kevin has been an awesome experience for me. His style of instruction is one of a very skilled practitioner with a beginners mindset. He will push you and guide you through whatever goals you have set for yourself. Very suppertive, challenging and fun at the same time!
