Sylvan Learning of Coquitlam

My son had a great experience at this Sylvan location. Chelsea and Samantha are very friendly and understanding of each child’s individual needs. My son enjoyed the reward system and was excited to go to each lesson. The teachers he had were nice and helpful too.

My experience at Sylvan learning is good so far. I like that you get to choose which subject you want to work on. The teachers are nice there, and if the work is too hard or stressful then the teachers would help them or give them a little break! You can even get tokens to buy lots of things like different types of gift cards! I think that Sylvan helps people improve their academic skills.

Sylvan, is a great place and has helped my son so much in a short period of time. We will continue to use Sylvan and this will immensely help him succeed in his studies.

I’m always so impressed with progress my children have made while attending this program. The assessments give you a detailed account of how well they are doing for their grade level, and where they need a little more attention.My middle schooler is working at grade level in math and doing well, but would like to continue because of the confidence it brings him and he likes the staff at the centre.Highly recommend Sylvan Coquitlam, the staff and program is excellent and your children will love it too!

Sylvan has been such a life saver for my daughter in grade 2. Her confidence has improved so much. She has gone through the program quicker than anticipated and has gone from kindergarten level reading to early grade 2 in the last 3 months. She loves the tutors and is always enthusiastic to go.

My son used to be afraid and worried about writing his school papers. He tried other English programs and didn’t find interest to continue. However, ever since attending Sylvan’s English program, he said he is not afraid of writing anymore. He also mentioned, “I can’t say my writing is perfect, but I feel comfortable and have improved a lot. I am looking forward to continuing to work on my writing skills.”Sylvan Coquitlam’s Center Director, Samantha, is very inviting and informative when I met her for the level test/assessment on the first visit. She explained about their curriculum and what to expect as my child makes progress.Each milestone my child makes, I get to come in for a progress meeting with the program director, Chelsea. They gave me a photocopy of my child essay and journal writings. She goes over how those writings were marked and what my child needs to improve on. Chelsea is very helpful and excellent to work with. She explained the details about my child’s work as well as asks my feedback and concerns. She makes a note of my concerns to include it in my child's learning plan for the next milestone. I really appreciate the progress meeting as I could see and feel what my child has been learning and also could give my feedback.My kid is never a positive learner and used to hate to go to other English learning programs; however, he found fun in learning ever since he has started attending Sylvan program.I highly recommend stopping by at least to get your child level assessed and find out where your child's English level is at. Sometimes they need just a little push to get into the better learning habit.

My son never complains about having to go to Sylvan and we have been going for 2 years now. And really that is the most important thing for me.

I am extremely happy with the Coquitlam Sylvan Learning Centre.Samantha and Chelsea have surpassed all expectations! They addressed all of my concerns, questions and requests. The math program has been a lifesaver for my son. The program is sequential and focuses on my son's individual needs. So glad to be a part of the Sylvan community!

We have only been with Sylvan for about 3 wks and we noticed a huge improvement with our son Liam. He enjoys going to his classes and always excited to tell us of the new thing he learned during his session. Also, Samantha who does all the scheduling makes it relatively flexible and easy. I would highly recommend Sylvan to anyone.

Awesome afterschool learning program for my son! He enjoyed learning and working with Sylvan teachers! It really helped him to learn how to read and comprehension.
