We stopped in for lunch. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. You can't beat the scenery right by the water. We had the wood-fired pizza and garlic fries. We will be sure to go back and try some other menu items that looked delicious

We sat out by the river. Lovely atmosphere. Great, friendly staff. Great menu & the Bolognese with mushrooms & pappardelle was rich, smooth & to die for good. Best pasta I've had in forever! The pizzas looked great, were huge for one person & were delicious.

We were excited to try this restaurant since it seemed a little more upscale than the ones surrounding it. However, the food was very underwhelming and not worth the price. The hostess was super friendly and welcoming, our waitress was, nice enough, but the food just lacked in every way.My husband ordered the breakfast skillet, which they ran out of skillets so it was a sloppy mess in a bowl. He said the entire thing tasted like wet potatoes and char. Our waitress never came back to even mention it, but we typically don't say anything because what can really change after the fact?My blt was better than his meal. The sourdough bread was a great choice, but it was unevenly toasted even burnt in some spots. It was buttery and made my fingers very greasy. They loaded on the mayo, skimped on the bacon, and used the biggest slices of tomato I've ever seen in a sandwich. The fries, which the menu said it came with, were an upcharge and definitely not worth the money or the extra calories. They were limp and flavorless.What could have been a great dining experience left us wanting more.

This place was beautiful. The pizza was the star of the show. But the mushroom pasta was great. The drinks we got were strong and absolutely beautiful . It was an experience ill never forget and I can't wait to go back.The tiramisu and creme Brule were on point. This was the aftermath. It is expensive" but you are paying for quality. The olive oil alone was worth paying for bread . If you love food and a good atmosphere your going to love it"

Sadly this will be a poor review. We were a party of 4 (2 couples) for lunch, while we were seated very quickly, after that, ... well read on, 12 people (a party of 6 and 3 couples) were seated after us, all of them had their drink orders taken and delivered as well as their food orders sent to the kitchen before we were acknowledged by a staff person that we were even sitting their, it still took another 10 minutes before they came back and took our drink and food orders, another 10 for just 3 of our drinks to come, then about 5 more for the last one, it was a draft beer. While staff person was apologetic for time, it didn't get better, our food was 2 burgers and fries and 2 BLT's and fries, by this point the other 12 people mentioned before had their food, they all finished and ours still has not arrived. Once our food did come, we were 50/50 on it, the ladies had the burgers and were ok with them, however, the BLT's were disappointing, for $13 each they came with just 2 pieces of bacon each. Unfortunately it is highly unlikely we will ever visit this establishment again and I cannot recommend it, again sad as it looks like others really like this place.

Made brunch reservation on Open Table for a interior table but was able to to get beautiful riverside seating on arrival (a plus). Waitress was friendly but she seemed a bit uninvested, e.g., we received water but it came as an afterthought during the service and mine was removed from the table while we were still sitting and talking, etc. The view of the River was awesome, the food was very good,, e.g., I had tenderloin Eggs Benedict and my wife had Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffes (see pics). We also had a few drinks, e.g., bloody mary with shrimp, a grape fruit spritz of some sort, and a lavender martini. Our bloody mary glass was plain (not rimmed) though other patrons had rimmed glasses that looked good (we were told to request it next time) and the shrimp were large but somewhat under cooked and plain, lacking any spice, e.g., Old Bay or such as I've had in other places. The remaining drinks were good, e.g., actual lavander blossoms in the martini, etc. A star was removed for the slowness in which the food came along with the somewhat disorganized nature of the wait staff, e.g., a family next to us received their food in three seperate deliveries spaced at least five minutes apart, e.g., first a burger dish (for the father), then two pizzas (for the kids), and then the wife's pasta dish, as well as a star for the cost which was well over $100 for the two of us. At that price point, you should expect more than a good view.

I've been coming to Clayton for 30 years. It would be nice to be able to reserve online. I've had 2 bad experiences with dinners . Besides an hr wait last 2 times after waiting a half hr to get seated. Most times I walk in I get turned away. I love the atmosphere and the outside bar. I probably will only done there for pizza and wings in the future. Very frustrating to get a reservation . If online is available I apologize if not it would be nice to do online. Prices are pretty high and salad was very sparse for 6 dollars.

While on vacation with my family we stopped here for a quick bit to eat. We only got appetizers, the food was delicious & the view of the 1000 island river was spectacular!!
