The staff offer great service, but do not come here if you are worried about Covid killing your family. There were two customers in line without masks and two more with them worn below the nose. The staff did not ask the customers to wear their masks properly and turned a blind eye. Masks are currently mandatory in all public spaces and the Covid numbers are spiralling out of control.

We’ve had 2 separate major mortgage transactions with this bank and both have been an incredibly painful and error filled process. We made the mistake of refinancing with them. We without question will not use them again. The amount of stress incurred by their incompetence has been disgusting and I strongly encourage shopping around for a different bank.

I have been trying to cashout my divedend investment and it have been more than two years now since I made the request. I have talked to several of their employee including tge branch manager of Signal and so far I have not heatd a favorable result. I haven promised that they will do something abput it but that is all they are saying. I am contemplating to file a fraud case agains this company.

i have been a member of the credit union for decades and obviously was pleased with their service. now, it's the opposite. they have made so many mistakes in the last few years and lately, the mistakes are almost always.they have ordered cheques for me and charged me and i did not order any cheques. when i complained i was refunded the money and asked if i would make a trip to the branch and bring the cheques back for them. so, ;they make the mistake, charge me, put me through hell trying to get it corrected and then, ask me to make a trip to the branch and take back cheques that are useless to anyone except the person named on the cheque. now, if i had been working at the branch, i would have said, so sorry for all your time and upset, please accept our apology and keep the cheques as a measure of our good service.that is just one thing that has happened in the past month.i tried to deposit money into my tfsa and i thought they had done that, but they opened another tfsa and i have nothing showing that this tfsa exists. so i asked for something showing where my money went and i was told (same person at the same branch) that my money was safe and that there is only confirmation sent out twice a year so i would have to wait.when i got more upset, i was told that the branch could send out something saying that i had this specific savings account. if i die before i get this straightened out, i have no beneficiary on this account and i have no way to make my bene aware. but even though i was told i would receive something, i did not.now, i deposited a cheque for 25000.00and was told there would be a 5 day hold on the cheque, and when the cheque had not cleared, i had great difficulty in getting information and once again had to try to make reason out of what i was being told. then, finally after much agony and 2 phone calls i'm told that it really isn't 5 business days, but i deposited the cheque on the 23 and it's the 30 and soit's 6 days, but she argued and argued as she always does ... and so no apologies that i was given the wrong information when i was told 5 days, just more arguing. she said well it was 5 days from the 24th.really, there are so many more mistakes and so now i'm becoming nervous about having my money in a business that makes so many mistakes and that seems to think that this is ok. and they treat me as if it's my fault and that i'm being unreasonable to expect service. and i should have known that the 5 days starts the day after you deposit the cheque. so, like a fool, i say then we should be told that.what happens when i die, and my kid ;goes to the bank to find out what i have with them. he's the bene on most of my stuff, but that won't help if first calgary doesn't know anything about what i have there. this last tfsa that i have no paperwork on at all.... and no beneficiary form for it ....no papers from the bank .... so what do you do? try to find another place to put your money, i guess. i can't be the only one having such poor service and so many mistakes .... how can this happen? i thought that a credit union was safer because of the better customer care and service, but it's not true anymore. so scarey. they don't seem to care that it's our money.

I had fraudulent cheques cashed. First Calgary hg as said that their insurance would not cover it because their insurance only covers fraud over $25,000. Terrible member services.Today I received a very professional call from First Calgary. They apologized that it had taken so long for me to get reimbursed. They reimbursed me the full amount. I will be staying with them.

In my experience with First Calgary and this branch I’ve been offered good, honest advice and nobody has tried to sell me anything I don’t need. As a younger person just starting to set up their finances, in a world full of sign up “promotions” and selling incentives, this is one of the main reasons I like to come here.

Very happy to have made the switch. I banked with TD my entire life but the bank fees became ridiculous. I now have the no fees for me account with First Calgary Financial and am loving it. I've also set up RESPs for my kids here. I used to get shuffled around to a new Financial Advisor every year with TD (their staff turnover seemed high). But now with First Calgary Financial, I meet with my Financial Advisor annually and it's actually the same person each year. The difference is amazing.

I've had good experience with Connect First. There's rarely a lineup when you go into the branch. They have provided great service for my personal and corporate banking needs.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!First Calgary has changed their ownership structure so that now in order for members to receive a portion of the profits from the credit union, they have to bUY shares/stock in the credit union. I would have to invest well over $10K to receive the same portion of the profits that I would normally get automatically from any other credit union. I plan to make the switch to another credit union as soon as my mortgage is up this year.

If i could rate 0 stars i would. I NEVER, in my family's 20 years of being with first calgary have had issues with depositing a pay cheque until going to this branch. My home branch is usually village square.I have received 3 cheques from my new job who does not use direct deposit. Now with that said, my first cheque, mobile deposit held for a week. Okay kind of sucks. Second cheque i went to deposit with the teller at the village square center, got the funds right away no trouble. The 3rd cheque, specifically booked 2 hours off from work to get into the bank to deposit this cheque with the teller at the signal hill location.Apparently this cheque for whatever reason was forced to be put on hold due to the account status and the amount of the cheque" keep in mind no problem with cheque 2. Spoke with village square
