The Green Jar
The store is a inviting and a lovely space, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful too. I came here to start building my collection of more sustainable home goods. The liquid hand/body soap is excellent, doesn't leave my hands feeling dry at all. We're also trialing the liquid laundry detergent ; so far we've done 2 basic washes with standard wear and happy with the results!

Local family run sustainable low waste store! Bring your own jar/container to be weighed then filled with household items.The dish soap bar is the best, it lasts forever! The sponges more than double in size once hydrated and can be washed in the dishwasher. Useful for dishes, cleaning the house, or your body. Then you can compost it. They last almost a year depending on your use.

Loved this store! They have all possible cleaning supplies that you can fill into your own containers. If you're new and don't yet have refillable containers, they also sell glass containers for all their products that you can later reuse. They also sell unscented versions of most cleaning products, if that's your preference!Apart from cleaning supplies, they also have a bunch of eco-friendly home goods (like bamboo toothbrushes, cloth sanitary napkins and diva cups, reusable paper" towels etc.).The owners are wonderful and very helpful. They were really patient with me while I make a mess trying to fill up my bottles haha! They're also willing to look up the ingredients in all their products to make sure you're not allergic to any of them!I think the store also takes in some plastic waste that can't be easily recycled at home (like pens

My absolute favourite place in my immediate neighbours the staff are so knowledgeable and kind they even purposely put only a few child interesting and child safe things with in their reach in case they get bored while moms shopping that is so thoughtful and smart most places think you break it you buy it so everything’s off limits but these things are just like a cool feeling sponge or something I’d love to come to this place more often

If you're looking to step up your eco-game at a good price point, The Green Jar is where to go. I have wanted to try a refill station for some time but was concerned about how expensive it would be. My partner and I came in to try some dish soap and sanitizer. We told them we were newbies and the owners gleefully showed us how the refill shop works, and even offered to fill our containers in the back if we wanted to fill a large container. Their refill station has pretty much any household item you can think of, which is great by making it a one stop shop. They gave us so much information on how to use the products in versatile ways, and how to stretch it even further. They even have a loyalty program.2 other amazing reasons to shop here: it's Black owned AND female owed!! Sisters Tannis and Mara own this business and were so helpful!!

This store smells amazing, has an excellent stock of natural and eco friendly products, and the owners are so welcoming! I was very inquisitive and they had all the knowledge! Can't wait to return to see what other changes I can make to help our environment.
