Dease Lake RV Park
Nasty service. Minimal facilities in a gravel parking lot.

I stayed in 10 RV parks on my trip from Georgia to Alaska and this was by far the worst. It's actually not too bad (would be nice to have internet, especially in an area that has no cell service) but the owner had such a bad personality that it made the stay very unenjoyable. I saw similar reviews by other previous customers so hopefully that gives you enough to make a decision. They're aren't many options along 37 in this area of B.C. but try the others instead.

This rv park has reopened with new friendly owners (6/23). Not fancy but such a treat to have full hookups and laundry. $40 cash only but there’s an atm at the gas station about 500m north on the Cassiar. Sites are all pull through and large enough for big rigs.

On our way south and Dease Lake was at our normal driving distance. No one at the park when we checked in; later another rv arrived later but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. The lady who checked us in mentioned the day before the entire park was full; a large RV caravan had stopped for the night. We had our pick of sites; they all appeared level (gravel) with minimal shade. Water/electricity/Sewer were available but there is NO WIFI or CELL COVERAGE available. This isn't the owner's problem, this impacts the entire area. However, directly across the street is a small college building with a very strong wifi signal. They have been kind enough to leave the login information taped to the front door. We were able to access from the nice picnic table outside. The bathrooms were nice, but hadn't been cleaned for several days. It does cost to use the showers; $1 for 7-mins which was adequate. The owners have the property up for sale, so they don't appear motivated to update/keep things up. Has lots of potential, but when we were getting gas we spoke to several RVers and they were all headed further South, looking for a park with more amenities. If in the area, we would probably not stay here again and keep going whichever direction we were headed.

If you are not in urgend need of a place to stay for the night, stay away from this place. Very unfriendly owner. I agree to 100% to a previous rewiever who checked the place out in July, 2016!

The owner is the rudest, most unfriendly person we ever met. The only explanation we have for his behaviour is a mental illness

A place to stop for a night and have a hot shower but nothing special here.

Rustic little spot for a good night's sleep. Full hook ups available, facilities are very clean and well maintained.

Clean, efficient, level sites... Beautiful mountain scenery across the road from Deese Lake.
