Pella Windows & Doors of Toronto

Horrible company. Would not recommend to anyone. First off, the window was originally installed wrong. Got that resolved but now the problems keep coming. We complained about it when we first got it, 6 years ago. Since then, it's been an ongoing fight. Condensation and ice on the windows, told its not their fault, that we have too much humidity in the house. The big pane of the window is bowing in the middle. Complained, nothing done. Horrible service rep. He talks down on you in a very condescending tone, as if you know nothing. Won't be going here anymore.

Beautiful doors. Terrible service. We altered the opening in the house for the doors from Pella. Before installation we wanted information about how to construct the opening to accommodate the door and make sure there were no hiccups during installation. Our sales rep told us repeatedly he couldnt answer our questions and didnt know the answers. After lots of back and forth he got us in touch with the installer, but also told us that doing that wasn't his job. He also didn't know the finishes of the hardware. He stood in front of me, pointed at the oil rubbed bronze knob and called it brass. Thank goodness i took the time to go into the store a second time to actually lay eyes on the products. Had I listened to what was told to me over the phone, I would have ended up with something I hadn't intended. Then after everything, the door wasn't caulked! I'll be paying $450 for someone else to come and do it. My photo shows what pella calls a finished product. I emailed them and asked when they were going to come and finish it. Again---not their job? I don't have the energy to fight with them anymore.

We felt completely taken advantage of. After being nothing but flexible with MULTIPLE last minute changes, we finally had our final windows and front door installed on Saturday. When the day was coming to a close, the lead man on the job came in to tell me that it was done, and that he needed my signature. When I looked at our windows, the inside casing was no where to be seen. When I asked him where it was, he simply said that they were not given the product to install, to which I responded, so the job is NOT done then.." He had no answer for me except that I can call the sales rep on Monday morning

I am currently being arm wrestled by a Pella salesperson because I cancelled my contract well within the 10 days that I am legally allowed to. I have never received such high pressure sales tactics ever. Very surprising coming from this company.

I am deeply disappointed with Pella of Toronto. They were very attentive until they closed the sale with us, and from there were not responsive when asked to measure our windows and then finally sent us the wrong measurements, a major oversight. Pella used the measurements they took to price out this job instead of sending a professional installer to do so. A HUGE miss on Pella's part!Out of the 22 windows we purchased at considerable expense, 8 replacement windows for our house were incorrectly measured by Pella's team and will not fit the existing rough openings.I brought this issue up to our sales representative and he has completely dismissed Pella's responsibility in measuring these windows and told us we need to pay even more to have them re-made. A reasonable person could not be expected to know how to measure windows, nor catch their mistake.The customer service at Pella is absolutely awful. Just based on the way we've been treated, I would NEVER use them again. There is zero attention to detail or accountability. These windows are too expensive for the terrible service.

Sales and measuring people were great and attentive and professional. Once you pay a deposit and expect an installation is where it goes down hill:- Months pass by before they agree to set a date to install my single window.- We agreed upon a specific time for the installer to come by, but he shows up 3 hours early in the time frame i said i wasn't available. Because i am in a work zoom meeting, i embarrassingly have to leave it to deal with this. He checks out where to install the window and says he wasn't told it would be like this and can't install it and leaves without doing anything. What is the point of the first Pella reps coming to measure and take pictures?- More weeks pass and we agree on a time to install. I get a message that day asking if they left the window at my place last time they came... I don't have it of course, but are they admitting to me they lost my window? They reply back a few minutes later saying they found it and never mind.- No communication the rest of the day, and they never showed up. No apology or follow up.- I am attempting to stay in communication with Pella to a) get this single window installed sometime this year hopefully? or b) ideally get all my money back.- I'll update this review if anything changes.Edit 1 week after posting my 1 star review:Pella replied to my review saying to email them so they could help. I emailed them right away and there is no response and definitely no apologies, actions or remedy.

Adam who the gentleman we dealt with when discussing windows very well manner, very professional, knew his work and most of all had all his tools" to show us the windows quanitites. Even though we did not go with Pellar

Despite receiving other estimates by email and which were cheaper, we decided to go with Pella. Your professionalism and trip up to see us personally (none of the other companies made an effort to see us during these challenging pandemic times) in addition to the quality of the Pella product, workmanship in installation and warranty, made the difference. Our representative Josh Kane came from quite a distance to see us specifically. He was very personable, informed and professional, addressing all our questions and concerns. It’s not just what you do but how you do it that counts and Pella does it right. Looking forward to our replacement.The Pella Window installation team arrived at 8:00AM. The two installers started immediately by laying floor and ground covering and preparing the necessary equipment to do the job. Our old window, which was a make-do job by myself and my dad, Joe after we bought the house and needed to make the windows more energy efficient. Over time, the windows started to develop mold inside the glass.We chose Pella because they were the most attentive and professional and the only company to come and see us personally. We paid a bit more vs the others but their installation and extra measures to assure a great job were clearly evident. They were here by 8:00AM and finished by 2:00PM including siliconing, detailing and cleanup and vacuuming. A complete job! Everything done. Nothing left for us to do but enjoy the view. We were very very pleased and now can see out a UV protected, thermal pane window.Thank you to the Pella team Kathy, sales Josh, measurement Richardo , and installers, Vladimir and Nick.We highly recommend Pella!Gary & Janie

I have just ordered windows for a third room in my house - the previous two orders were also Pella windows. Josh Kane has been my sales person throughout and I greatly appreciate his professionalism and guidance. He is highly personable and knowledgeable of the product and has led fabulous service in each of my installation projects. I am very pleased with the product - very attractive and high performance windows - which have definitely enhanced my home and reduced heat loss. I recommend this product and service. Very professional installation team who did wonderful work as well.

Sales Rep (Josh) -5/5Installation - 1/5Customer Service 5/5We purchased a new fiberglass door and three wood windows from Pella in the middle of the Covid pandemic. The sales rep (Josh) was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with - I'd recommend him to anyone, no doubt about it.Unfortunately, the installation experience was a complete fiasco. One of the windows arrived from the factory with a broken sash, the installer told me (incorrectly) that our door set was incompatible with the new door, he drilled a hole for the handle in the wrong spot in the door, spent most of the afternoon on his cellphone, then left early without doing any of the outdoor flashing or caulking. The next day he didn't even show up to finish the job, so I had to call Pella (special thanks to Bonnie at head office) so they could send out a different crew to finish the install properly.Despite the problems with the initial install, post-installation customer service was impeccable. They replaced or repaired every issue to our full satisfaction, and checked in repeatedly to let us know the timelines and to make sure we were happy. Despite the issues with the initial install I would recommend Pella to anyone.
