Telford Lake Boardwalk

So close to the airport. I’d recommend visiting this place for a nice walk if you have a 4-5 hours of a stop over in Edmonton airport (Leduc). Don’t miss the stone barn. It’s not far from the head of the trail. Lots of cool photos!

This is an awesome outdoor space in Leduc. You can walk around the lake which takes an hour. There are a few benches and tables for sitting. The lawn is well kept, you can bring your lunch and have a picnic. There were people walking their dogs and some riding bikes. There were many people just looking at the water birds and ducks on the lake.

Was here once and was yelled at by some Karen in her home. Maybe if there was a gigantic wall around the walk way I would feel safe to walk in this park. Also my airpods are some where in the lake if ya'll could find them that'd be awesome

Love the lake! Such a calm and peaceful place to go for a walk. We saw wild geese and an otter! The trail around the lake is more than 8 km if you're up for it. People are also very friendly. The surroundings are very clean too. Highly recommend this lake for a casual walk or a good hike.

Telford Lake offers great flat walking trails just east of downtown Leduc. Pelicans are found on the lake in warmer seasons. Other types of Bird Life abound. Total distance around the lake trail is about 8 km. Paved trails are great for those with mobility issues. Lookout at various points.

I love this place! It’s a nice place for a stroll as boardwalk is wide and spacious. There’s a lot of opportunities for bird watching. The park nearby also offers some basic amenities and the parking is also super convenient. My kids had so much fun flying their kites and playing frisbees here. Definitely worth the trip even if you’re living in Edmonton or just enjoy it for a lazy sunday morning. If your child loves train or plane watching, you can do that as well.

This classic Alberta slough (lake) has been wonderfully developed into a multi-purposed recreational sanctuary for all Leducians to enjoy! Thanking the city for building an 8km loop which includes access to forest trails, cycling lanes, boardwalks, gardens, soccer fields, bird observatories, boating, parks, and last but not least access to wild Saskatoon berries!It’s a great place to explore and enjoy the country inside the city! The only downside to this location is that it is directly over the airports flight path, and so the peace and tranquillity of the region is suddenly & frequently overtaken by the loud obnoxious sounds of aircraft turbine engines!

Lake is nice. Definitely e scooter worthy. E-bike is nice too here. It was a longer trip around the whole lake then I thought. I'd take a kayak in there in future. Even though it doesn't have an outlet.

Great trails but needs better closed loop path markers.
