Island Foot Clinics – Nanaimo

Wow. I mean in an underwhelmed sort of way. Paid the office visit fee, which I believe is $25 more than the going rate, and for what?!!A couple of minutes of callus filing which I could have done myself. And a one-size-fits-all prosthetic for hammer toes which of course doesn't fit! Neutral, uncaring treatment from reception and physician, doing the absolute minimum for maximum charge.

I called the Dr office, The reception told me it will be $105 for the first time, but when I finished , they charged me more I paid $145 for 15mins treatment. You better shopping around before you come here. they only want your money. Disappointed about what they did. I finally found another Podiatry helped with my feet, only $70.

I visited Dr Shah as a ‘second option’. At a different clinic I was told to walk less to reduce my pain and the Dr actually stood up to leave before I had asked all my questions (not Dr Shah, a different clinic).Dr Shah made sure I asked all my questions and he gave me answers I understood. He looked closely at my foot anatomy and gave me custom advice, not just a general tips for the condition. I felt cared for as a patient and now understand the steps I can take in my recovery.Also, Ann at the front desk is a delight. So friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend Dr Shah and his staff enough.

I came here and they lied to me and made me feel scared so they could sell me $120 shoe cleanser that literally did nothing and was unnecessary. This business is predatory and I would not take any children here or anybody who is not ready to fend off toxic business practices they guy who works here begging for 5 star reviews on email is a bad man with zero compassion. going here one time was regrettable and a huge mistake.

I had two appoints with Shah in Kamloops and received some helpful exercises to do. But he said he would get my previous xrays from Nanaimo and call me back for a follow up and I never heard from them again.

Had a surgery" to remove an ingrown toenail. Dr. Shah was very professional and explained the process well and it was a great success. Foot is now back to normal!!"

I felt pressured to buy a uv light for shoes, orthotics and nail treatment.

I’d never been to a Podiatrist before, but decided to go after I suffered a ankle sprain while away on holidays.Dr. Shah was professional, knowledgeable and polite.I’d definitely recommend him to anyone who requires foot care.

I should have just thrown $700.00 in the garbage, the Orthotics actually made my feet worse.
