Hertz Car Rental - Fredericton - Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel HLE

+2 stars because everytime I've called the location the guy who has answered has been very helpful-3 stars because I saw a rental for 5 days which came out to $250 (great price!) - I immediately made a booking. I then checked my flight details and realized I would need to extend it by returning it 4 hours later. When I went to do this online the requoted price was over $500??Confused, I called the 1800 number and I see if they can extend it. They quoted me the same $500 price! I asked how much the charge is if I don't extend the booking but just return the car 4 hours late. She said it would be $250 + a $15.50 late fee, and said it wouldnt be $500+I tried explaining how that doesn't make sense since it may inconvenience the next person waiting for the car until I return. She wasn't understanding it and said I'd have to modify the reservation.When I look at the detailed terms and conditions it says $15.50 PLUS rate difference. I'm sure if I proceed with option I'll be charged $500+ on my visa after the fact and then won't be able to dispute it.Anyway - the same vehicle for 5 days + 4 hours at thrifty down the street came out to $305. I think I'll take my business there and pay $50 more so I don't have to risk paying double the price for returning the car 4 hours lateMake sure you read the fine print or you might face significant fees!

Excellent and helpful customer service! We are planning to rent a car in Halifax in a few weeks but because of the hurricane, we understandably can't get through. We called this branch to ask a few questions and the person who helped was very polite and cleared up all of the concerns we had before our online reservation. Very pleasant experience.(9/9/2019)

BE AWARE - Very nice personel (Chris), but not sure about the rental company asking for additional charges?? Asked to get the vehicule earlier (17 mins) and without supplement charges, said he can manage it without any other fees. When i left the Hertz dealership, i asked for an estimate for total of the rental if i return the veh at the requested timing. Days after, when i returned the veh to the Hertz dealership at the requested timing, he told me that i can't give me a receit 'cause he does'nt have the password to get access to the system??? I was told that an email with the final statement would be sent later. I had to leave the permises without any receit or any paper that said i returned the veh, and this was of no choice on the Hertz staff member's part. It was confirm that the balance was the same as the estimate. About 4 hours after, when i left New Brunswick, i got an additional 25$ charge, more than the estimate. I requested a correction and received no reply. I could not believed it. - Is this why i had to leave the permises without any invoice? BYE HERTZ ,... NEvvver again!! Customer service was Ok, BUT to charge 25$ more than what the estimate was and can't explain or giving me other excuses??

Chris Allen was the only bright spot in a horrendous situation. He sincerely tried to help, but corporate wouldn't listen. I truly appreciated his concern and help. In the end, I had to reach out to family to get home from Grand Manan as rental car had electrical issues and wouldn't start and corporate would not work with Chris for a two way tow. But Chris guided me through process. Didn't resolve issue, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Thanks, Chris.

Amazing customer service. Our flight landed at 5:35 PM and they close at 5PM. Still who was waiting out side the airport Hertz. No extra fees, just a smile and welcoming gestures. Amazing service. I wouldn't go with anyone else.

Chris was absolutely terrific in ensuring we got a rental first thing in the morning and provided us with an amazing car rental experience. Highly recommend renting with Hertz at Crowne Plaza!

One of the best car rentals in fredericton. Chris was extremely helpful throughout the process, also cheaper compared to other car rentals in fredericton. The only rental that I'm ware of that does student discounts as well. We had a great trip thanks to them!!

TERRIBLE. Go to Enterprise instead.I was given a car that was so FILTHY that I couldn't even check the car for damages pre pickup I was concerned because I did not have proof that potential damage may have existed before my pick up as I could barely see them. The clerk was rude and curt. To top it off, this was January and the car I was given did not have winter tires (?!), causing me to slip constantly. The price for 24 hours was literally DOUBLE what I would have paid at Enterprise...and they would have picked me up.I was forced to go with Hertz as Enterprise is closed on Sundays, and it was an overall terrible experience. If you're reading this: just go with Enterprise. It's down the street and 10x better. Don't make the same mistakes I did. I've rented from both many a time and Enterprise is leagues ahead. Hertz is trash. A Hertz location in Halifax tried to scam me by claiming that I returned the car with a dent. When I provided photos (proof) that were taken when I dropped off the car (without a dent visible), they suddenly CUT OFF ALL COMMUNICATION after realizing they had been caught in a lie. If you Google 'Hertz Damages Scam', you will find many similar stories.Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM HERTZ. They are truly the bottom of the bucket in the rental world.

Chris was a great help when I was in quick need of a vehicle. The rate provided was head and shoulders better priced than others. After a day with the vehicle, I experienced some issues with the car and Chris provided me a replacement with no issues or questions asked. All in all, it was great service by Hertz/Chris.

When no other car rental outlet in Fredericton would find me the car I need for my large family. Chris at Hertz made it happen. I was in an accident and my Insurance adjuster was taking his sweet time replying to rental companies I called Hertz and Chris helped me out by holding the type of vehicle I needed and dealing with my insurance. It was a huge weight off my shoulders during this stressful time so I appreciate all the efforts ! Thank you so much !
