Donegal's Irish House / Donegal's Pub
One of the nicest pubs in the Lower Mainland. They have great bands playing live music on the weekends. We had a private party there for a fairly large crowd and we found the staff so accommodating, friendly and efficient. They booked off a private area for us. The food is way above regular “Pub Food” standards. Our group had the best time enjoying the atmosphere with the music and dancing, great service and food. Thank you Daniel, great service Sunni.

Wanted to stop at a pub at day of travel. Stopped here and we were very pleased. I ordered the California burger on recommendation from our friendly waitress.This was one of the better pub burgers I have ever had. Grilled perfectly and super tasty. The fries were very good as wellMy wife had the tropical salad. Which is was quite good and quite spicy. (I think you can ask for it to be less spicy.). Drinks were cold and well priced. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

This place is amazing! I went with a group of friends, and not only was our waitress, Tayla, incredible and honest but the food was terrific as well. I ordered the pulled pork Mac and cheese (I'll DEFINITELY be getting it again), and had a bit of an odd drink request for our server but she was enthusiastic and kind the whole time. At one point it got busy, and a friend's food hadn't come, but when we mentioned it she was honest about having forgotten and got it out to us on priority which is exactly the best way to handle it. The prices are great, and the food+service matched them. The outdoor area is also very nice, with some individual tables and benches as well as a few larger areas for big groups (and extra chairs, if needed). I highly reccomend coming here

You might prefer the outdoor patio if there's music or karaoke (it's loud), but thankfully they have an outdoor patio. Nice place, good food, solid happy hour specials.

Great Gluten Free options just like in Ireland. The service was very attentive too. A great place for Celiac's and their friends. I rather kiss the Blarney Stone in Cork than to try and down this..wow..But to make it truly Irish they should welcome families with kids.Still the best and our waitress was amazing ask for Kathleen.

I have been here a few times for the live music. I understand the place is busy but all the team members need to do is say hello and we would be happy to wait for service.Instead you get 2 servers that walk past your table multiple times and clearly see us and do nothing. PROPER AND EFFICIENT service tells you this, hands in, hands out. Its simple and makes it easier for the service team member to get it done. CLEAR THE DIRTY TABLES.The food is sub par at best, I've given the food a chance twice now, Its pub food folks Its not hard. The chippy chips should have the fact they are spicy written on the menu right?This is a great venue and we do have fun here, tighten up on service, get the kitchen team in check and you have a winner.I will point out that Sunni is the only server here that gets it right EVERY time.I hope to have a better dining experience next time.........

Good is really good, especially the burgers. Philly cheesecake is good, onion rings are fresh, service is friendly and they are always available to grab extra napkins, vinegar, ketchup etc.

The mussels with the sauce was great! A very good cook, I must say. Unfortunately, the service was poor. It took 20 minutes to get us gals drinks when there were barely any customers in the pub. It was a late Wednesday evening, June 28, 2023. The waitresses/bartender were wanting to go home, I believe and if that was the case, then they needed to inform us. However; they did take the time to serve us when they felt like it. Then the waitress turned the page, went to my table, spoke to my friends at the table while I was outside having a cigarette and falsely accused" me of throwing up outside on their patio!!! I was very hurt

My husband and I hadn't been to Donegal's in almost 2 decades. We were in the neighbourhood and I recalled reading some positive reviews in one of my restaurant review groups so we pulled into the parking lot and looked at the menu on his phone. We read the poutine description that said they used real curds from Quebec and we were sold! We also read that the burgers are award winning so in we went and ordered the Donegal's burger with a poutine upgrade (and upcharge). The burgers were ok, bland, light coloured tomato, very messy bun and patty. Like fall apart, can't easily eat it messy. The poutine" unfortunately came with orange and white shredded cheddar rather than curds. Our server was apologetic and kind and let us know when I asked about it that only the large poutine was actual poutine with actual curds. That was really a downer. Everything was just okay. 3.5 stars realistically for our experience tonight."
