BMO Bank of Montreal

I can't believe that this bank took a $5 fee, twice, for transferring my own money from my savings account to my chequing account in the same branch.For a mere $10, rather than refund me the money they stole out of my account, they let me close the account. Now, I am about to move to another banking institution altogether but I am not about to let the theft of my money go without a public fight.It starts, here and now

I have dealt with this branch for years. Friendly staff that provide pleasant service, however almost impossible to get through anyone on the phone. Usually only one person behind counter when I visit (12-1). I've run out of time last visit and had to leave. Went to a different branch instead the next day. My recommendation as a long time customer would be to be staffed adequately throughout the day and be more accessible via phone.

I had lots of issues in the past at this branch with the previous management. Ever since Farida Momenzada has taken over as Branch Manager/Mutual Fund Repersentative any issue that's come up is resolved swiftly and with a smile I was honestly considering switching banks but after the service I've received the last couple visits to this branch there is no need. with everyone surpassing my expectations I felt the need to write this review. Thank you to everyone at this branch for doing everything that they can to help and still taking pride in customer service!

DON'T BOTHER trying to call , and speak to Anyone..., No one will EVER answer....!!!! I'd give ZERO stars if I could.... BOOOOO!!! also, once my Car Loan is paid off., I will NEVER use this Bank" again.... Buh bye!!!"

We had great experience with personal banking here. Chinedu really moved heaven and earth to get us what we needed. We were in quite a difficult situation, and he was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend him if you need personal banking services!

We used an HR block card at ATM and attempted to withdraw $2000. The atm declined giving our money but still took it off our balance! We notified the branch the atm stole our money . They lied to us saying they opened a file got a technician and that we have our money back in 24-48 hours . They never gave our money and when I contacted the call centre our phone number wasn’t even on file so they never took down our information or opened a file . They lied to our face because we were upset , just to get us out of the branch. Now I’m having to go through HR block to get refund , when really BMO could put it back on the card instantly and won’t .

I got hand sanitizer in my eye when using the provided pump and the staff not only didn't know what to do they seemed very unconcenred and almost annoyed at having to allow me to use their washroom to rinse chemical out of my eye. If my husband hasn't had been with me to tell them what to do I believe they would have left me there to stand blind trying to get rubbing alcohol out of my eye.

Giving one star because despite the bank making not one but two errors. I now owe 2 payments as a result instead of 1 I get it were all human and make mistakes but in this case they should have double checked what the transit number they inputted in the system so my payments would have come out as scheduled. I even called in to verify the payment went through because it didn't look like the payment did from my end and the bank rep said it did even though it did not. And the best they can do is push the delinquent payment to the end of my loan which wouldn't have been delinquent if they would have done their jobs correctly in the first place. I Guess I shouldn't be surprised by bmo just being another large financial institution that don't care about how they conduct business as long as they don't have to hone up to their mistakes but instead do nothing for the client. Oh wait not nothing they moved my delinquent amount that they caused to be diluent to the end of my term therefore extending my lease. Would not recommend doing business with bmo ever avoid at all costs.

Every time I come to this bank I'm ever surprised that their customer service never gets any better. Consistent 20-30 minute wait times just to see one of the incompetent tellers behind the till, usually only one or two on duty to boot. Don't even get me started on their poor online service. I regret moving my business to BMO.

This place can't even answer the phone. Gotta book time off work to get in there for some communication.
