La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oshawa

The location is great.Rooms are good enough in size.The housekeeping does a decent job as well. Friendly staff.We stayed there for a week as we were new to country and looking for accommodation.What dissappointed us was the breakfast.It was very basic and even though the timings were from 7 to 10 am, most of the things would run out by 8 30, 9am.There were 2 staff preparing breakfast.The philipino made sure everything was available. Whenever it was the turn of the other lady, half the things would be missing. After couple of times we started to take things on our own from cabinets and storage.

It was clean and room was spacious. Fridge didn't work, the door was broken. There is parking but not adequate. Came back at 11:30pm and there was no parking spot available. Ice maker is on the second floor. Check out is at 11am. Pet friendly hotel.

Would not recommend. Really dirty. People scream, drink and dance all around and you can hear everything until 5 AM. Nice view from the window (a wall). I traveled with my 2 kids and will never come back again.

Mixed reviews about this place. The room was comfortable. Thats about it. The TV had maybe 2 channels only. The dirty hallways looked like a scene from some old horror movie. The rear doorbell doesnt work, so if u park at the property, u need to walk all the way to the front entrance in the cold to get into the hotel to check-in. Once u have ur door key, the rear access works. Very inconvenient indeed! Broken fixtures in the toilet, no shelves in the shower for soap or shampoo, no hangars in the wardrobe to hang your clothes. But a very comfortable bed I must say. Front desk guy was welcoming.

Good service. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Location is very bad. The city is trash and looks really scary. They can improve in the cleaning on the hallways and common areas. Rooms were clean.

Oh boy.. to keep it simple,it's a place to stay.. We won't ever be returning. The room was damp, the floor was oh so gross... not sure how they can be renting rooms for $200 and be sold out but that just shows you that there's not much in the area.. I would recommend if you want to have a nice evening maybe stay at the casino hotel.. the positives - pet friendly & available parking. Sounds like a lot of people don't check the room or ratings as even we were a little surprised about this hotels condition. ALL NIGHT & heard in the morning people will be rumbling down the hallways & voices will be heard as if you were right there with them. I just wouldn't if you were on the fence about this one.

Pet friendly option.Rooms are smaller, but clean and comfortable. Nice sized washroom, our ground floor had shower, no tub, but it was a good shower. The shower stall didn't have any soap/shampoo tray/holder, which is odd.Flatscreen tv. Cable included, but I would recommend bringing a direct stick or something if you want more options.Tv in our room was on a large desk and office chair provided, in even a business based visit.Microwave, single cup coffee maker and fridge in room.

I knew the minute we pulled up we made a mistake. The location is right downtown surrounded with homeless. The minute you pull up front people are checking you out. We went in checked in it was told parking was around back as others have said very small lot. The rooms are extremely small. It is an older place so it is quite noisy you can hear people all the time. Asked for ice and was told they were out for the day. I was told I could go to a convenience store to get some. I must have given him a strange look because then he decided that he would let me know that the ice machine was not working. We did hear music late into the night into early morning. Overall it did its job for a one night stay but was not very relaxing and not up to the standards that I have seen at other la Quintas

La Quinta Inn & Suites Oshawa is a top-notch hotel that exceeded all of my expectations. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the lobby was clean and inviting. My room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep each night.
