This is a great rescue shelter for cats and kittens. Thanks to them, I adopted my sweet baby kitten. It was great experience. The volunteers gave me a lot of advice. My baby is also a well educated and socialized kitten. Thanks everyone for the nice and hard work

I adopted a 7 month old kitten with HHCM and it was a great experience! I would absolutely adopt with them again. The process was really organized and clear, and the coordinator who facilitated the adoption, Sarah, was super kind and knowledgeable about the cats that would be a good match with my family (including my resident cat!). She was super prompt and compassionate when responding to my questions too.A huge thank you to Olive's foster too. She was very clearly so knowledgeable about and absolutely adores cats. I was impressed how well socialized this timid kitty was! HHCM was very transparent about the needs and personalities of the cats, so I pretty much knew exactly what to expect, which made for a smooth transition from her foster's home to mine. And her foster was really reassuring and encouraging in response to my text updates in the days following the adoption.Sending the HHCM team warmth and strength during this cold winter, thank you for everything you do!

I would highly recommend going through Heart in Hand the next time you're looking to adopt a kitten or cat. The team is so friendly and very helpful — they quickly answered all my questions throughout the process and shared useful resources even after the adoption when I had questions as a first-time cat owner. The benefit of going through this organization (as opposed to the SPCA) was that since the cats are fostered, the foster family was able to tell me about all their individual personalities in detail, which ultimately helped me decide that Mowgli was the right fit for me over his sister (who was just as adorable and sweet — if Aijou is still up for adoption, she'll make a GREAT cat in any home!). The fees were significantly less than it would cost to vaccinate and sterilize a kitten on your own, plus the money is helping to support the rescue work of this great organization. It's a bit more than you pay to adopt through the SPCA, but again, you have the benefit of talking to the foster families, as well as support from the dedicated team at Heart in Hand whenever you need it in your cat parenthood journey. Even if you're just *thinking* about adopting, reach out to Heart in Hand on social media, and I'm confident they'll help guide you in the right direction/answer any questions you might have!I adopted my kitten at around 3-4 months old, and it was a super smooth process!

I adopted little Moose from HIH through a foster family and it was a nice experience. Moose lived for ~12 weeks with his foster family and siblings (Belle and Duck whom I saw in the recent reviews!). He had a great amount of time to socialize with humans and other kittens, and now has a great personality (sociable, playful).I saw in the bad reviews about how the shelter is a little disorganized, but I can only assume that it’s because they have a large amount of cats to take care of! Keeping tabs on the kittens vaccination status and health status should be mostly the owner’s job. Although the shelter doesn’t always reach out, I believe that the owner should go forward and take the first steps and to talk to the team about making appointments. Answers might not be instant but that’s okay. It’s normal to forget a thing or two seeing that this is not a hugely lucrative organization. A simple follow up message is gonna get you there.Up to now, I got a nice experience and Moose is healthy. That’s all I ask for. Their new partner clinic has a nice receptionist as well! Moose recently received his first and second vaccinations, was neutered. I’m happy because my little furball was well cared for. Big thanks to Elsa the foster mom (for giving much love to the kittens) and to the shelter team Julie, Jessie, Sarah and Cindy, whom I believe are truly there for the well-being of the cats.I recommend!

Adopted my best friend through heart and hand rescue. They really make sure the kittens are taken care of before adoption, and ensure they're going to good homes!

I have both fostered and adopted my kitty from HHCM and have had a great experience with them. Their team is passionate, communicative, caring and incredibly hard working. They make sure their cats are healthy, vaccinated and sterilized. I am so grateful for their work - I definitely plan to foster with them again in the future.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Couldn’t ask for a better companion, it’s been 2 years now with my dear Nebi. They have lots of kittens, note you will have to bring them to the vaccine appointments which are covered in the adoption cost

Heart in Hand Rescue is such an amazing organization. I adopted a 7 month old kitten from this organization and can confidently say that if I ever want to adopt another animal that this will be my go to organization for that. The money you spend on the adoption fees are going towards such an amazing organization. We are so in love with our new fur baby.
