Sky Blue Waters Resort

This is a small campground with a motel on the property which works great if you have your trailer and the grandparents come with the boat. There is a road between the campground and the lake so families with small children just need to be aware of crossing safely. The beach is rocky but the water is clear and there is also a doggie beach on the other side of the pier. Why we like it here is because we can moor the boat on a buoy close to the pier and the campsites are very spacious with mostly power and water and several have sewer. There is a decent bathroom with a pay shower and flush toilets. It is nothing fancy here but I think for the price it is decent. It is under new management since the owner passed away and there have been a few hiccups, but nothing a reasonable person can't handle. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow on vacation. If you don't expect too much, you will be quite happy. There is a lovely winery just down the road and the Tappen Co op has the biggest ice cream cones around. If you do come with a dog, be aware there are not any walking trails around the campground. The boating is fantastic and the water is often like glass.

This place used to be good, pictures on the website are from years ago. Check in didn’t have records of my deposit or reservations and went downhill from there. The person running the campground is a drunk. Bathrooms are dirty water to the sites is intermittent and the lady running it could care less. You ask her when the water will be turned back on and she says “there’s lots in the lake”. It will definitely be my last time here unless they change management and things improve.

Canada day was wet but fun. The park has cleaned up nice in the last 3 years since our family reunion. But the change in management came at a price. The clean grounds gave way to a closed hotel and made way for a very a very non family oriented stay. Some of the staff who happen to be seasonal campers also brought their very loud rap and sang out the vulgarity. I do not care about the rap or the party’s however this is not how the resort was portrayed to us when we reserved.

I come here all the time! The owner is amazing and so accommodating! The rooms are spacious and clean. Tent camping is nice and shady. The dog beach is big and I spend most of my time there with my lab. I recommend this place to everyone and send all my friends and family to sky blue waters! I have always had an amazing time!!

It's a ok little place. We had our sites booked but when we got there they were taken and we had to fight with the lady to get 2 spots together. Hard to say that's how it is all the time because there was only one person running the whole site so I could see how that could be overwhelming. Beach is ok a little rocky but is shuswap so the waster is always nice. We all had a fun time got a little rowdy some nights but never received a noise complaint. Overall it's a ok place bathrooms could use a little up keep but not a bad place to stay.

An absolutely horrible experience. What they don't show you in the pictures is the fact that you're right up against a very busy road. We were expecting a nice, relaxing family getaway but were completely disappointed. The beach was laughable. The water was only about 3ft deep off of the dock (which looked like it was about to snap into pieces), and was full of muck, garbage, and seaweed. Not swimmable at all. The beach was rocky and not sandy like other beaches in the area. The campsite was dusty, dirty, and uncomfortable. We felt squished in between our neighbours, so close that we could hear their conversations when we were in our tent. You're right beside a highway, not even a residential or access road, and the majority of the traffic comes after midnight, keeping you awake the whole night. The bathrooms were dirty, poorly kept, and you had to pay $1 for a shower (one that only lasted about 2 minutes). The owners were rude and unhelpful. Think twice about camping here before you book. The only reason I gave it one star is because it's in close proximity to a really beautiful drive and a nice hike to some falls.

Great water view campground. The staff was wonderful and extremely accommodating.Perfect spot if you’re running away from mosquitoes in the summer; I virtually found none but bring bug spray just in case.Tent sites are spaced far apart so tons of privacy.Bathrooms/laundry was also very clean 10/10

Tenting sites are better than the overflow camping at the nearby campgrounds clean and fairly spaced out. The wood is 7$ for a decent size bundle. Bathrooms were mediocre, flush toilets and pay shower. There is a road right next to the camp grounds makes for lots of noise during the day, Night wasnt so bad. Overall not a bad stay ! Besides waking up at 930 to some guy mowing the lawn right beside our campsite.

This place is great.. yes cars are passing right between the campsite and lake and it can get a bit loud! But overall we were blessed to have had a site to stay for 5days!Tons of Beaches are close by, gas stations and Salmon Arm town is about 10-15 min away!Lori caretaker is amazing, very kind and friendly.Spacing is great too due to the COVID-19. They only rent out every other space!

Didn't follow the crowd and found an RV site all to ourselves. Ladies toilets were in the process of being renovated but since we were on our own, not an issue. Cross the road to the lake.Great to look over the lake to the other RV sites crammed to the gills with pre-bookers not daring to camp without planning their adventure holiday months in advance.You'll see from the photos we did have 1 neighbour!
