Over the years, I have seen acupuncturists who have not met my expectations. Fortunately, I finally found Edward. He is first rate in terms of knowledge, ability, and compassion. Edward is concerned about one’s overall health and uses his expertise to devise a treatment focused on specific areas of need. In my case, it is left-sided leg weakness due to spinal stenosis and recurring shoulder and neck pain. My acupuncture practitioner Ed Hong at Equilibrium Acupuncture in Burlington is excellent. After suffering for for many many years with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia and under Urologist care, I decided to take treatments one giant step further with an experienced and well educated and trained practitioner with acupuncture. After several treatments to shrink (yes…”shrink”) the prostate, I no longer have low flow, urgency, frequency, especially at nighttime allowing me to sleep longer and better. Ed is very gentle with needle insertion and moxibustion techniques. Also, at the same time, Ed relieved pain in my left knee and is now treatment for tinnitus.I strongly recommend Equilibrium Acupuncture and Herbs in Burlington Ontario.

Edward genuinely cares about improving patients' conditions through his practices, and spends hours outside of appointments to study & plan everything. If he emails you to check in your progress, it's not for vain; he's volunteering his time he doesn't have, so make the best out of it by replying. He recommends treatments he believes you need, no more and no less.My mom, ever a skepticist to anything medical or therapeutic, trusts & recommends; her recent headaches and fogginess resolved after 2 visits. My conditions are more prolonged, but I do feel the progress slowly but surely.Some people may find their own best acupuncturist who suit then better, as we all. I started seeing Edward in November 2021 for TCM - acupuncture and herbs. I was in an accident years ago and have routinely been going for chiropractic, massage and injections into my neck, head, shoulders and back monthly. I have had days where I have needed assistance dressing and mobility has been extremely poor. I suffer from migraines more days of the month than not.Since seeing Edward I have been able to reduce the amount of medication I need and have been able to go longer between my other treatments (chiropractor, massage & injections). For the first time in years I have more energy, am in a better mood and have periods that I am completely pain free!! Edward made the sessions less scary for me. As someone who hadn’t experienced this before, I was very scared and going to opt out if the first session ended up being painful, but he calmed me down and I ended up having several sessions.Thank you Edward for doing a great job, this definitely helped me recover faster.I will recommend Edward to anyone looking to get facial acupuncture.

After suffering with a very sore forearm for 6 months and suffering from daily headaches for over 3 years I booked an appointment with Edward. Upon leaving that first appointment I felt relief and after a few more appointments my arm is pain free and I am no longer suffering from daily headaches. The herbs he gave me for my headaches are so effective that I no longer take painkillers to find relief. Edward is kind and professional.
