Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park
Even when we just spent a couple of hours here, I truly recommend to plan a day trip or a weekend getaway here. Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the natural beauty of Ontario, Canada. The park is located just 30 minutes from the city of Thunder Bay and is home to one of the most stunning waterfalls in the region. The falls, which cascade 40 meters down a rugged rock face, are a sight to behold and a perfect backdrop for any nature lover or photographer.Aside from the falls, the park offers a range of activities for visitors of all ages. Hiking trails wind through lush forests and along the banks of the Kaministiquia River, providing excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife spotting. There are also picnic areas, campsites, and playgrounds, making the park an ideal destination for families. One of the highlights of the park is the Greenstone Trail

Beautiful falls. Great views from beautiful wood look out platforms. Bring an umbrella. The spray is wicked!

The Niagara Falls of the north indeed! What a beautiful spot to just hang out and listen to the water rush by, or wander over to see it disappear down river. There is a nice visitor centre and lots of well maintained trails. We saw it in the spring so parts are still frozen and the water is high which makes for a wonderful waterfall experience! Highly recommend and I'd love to return in the fall because that would be absolutely spectacular.

They had about six small bathrooms that was just a sink and toilet, trash can. Each bathroom was for both male and females. They where relatively clean. The falls where beautiful and had nice wooden walk ways to see them. The park was dog friendly as long as they where leashed.

This gem was absolutely unexpectedly amazing. I was told by my friends who live in thunder Bay that it's nice, but they downplayed how beautiful this place is. Very nice camp site, private and big. The falls blew me away. I can't believe how underrated this place is and why no one talks about it ! I've been to Niagara falls many times, and this wins on the most beautiful falls I've ever seen. So natural, the gorgeous canyon, with the many rock layers to show the history of this natural wonder. If you're in Thunder Bay or the area, it is a must see ! Don't skip it on your list of places to visit. I'll be back again for sure.

Incredible view of the falls with boardwalks on either side. Best of all, it’s FREE. We also camped here. Nice and woodsy. Quiet. Campsites are semi-private. Some electrical. Some non-electrical. Showers and bathrooms in the campground where we stayed. Two other campgrounds do not have showers or electrical hookups.

It was definitely worth the 6.50$ to enter and see the falls. It is stunning to show the family the power of water and the beauty of nature around that was resulted from its force. I did not take a photo of the entire view that is available.

The falls here are beautiful and the bridge was nice to walk on. Lots of good places to see the difference angles of the falls. The bathrooms where decent and fairly clean. They had a few nice picnic tables and vending machines for something to drink.
