The whole customer service team was super helpful from start to finish and helped us out of a really tight situation when our house fell through and needed storage and pick up fast. Anthony in particular was wonderful and helped to facilitate an in-yard pick up with ease and professionalism. Highly recommend!

James called and indicated he would be here in 1/2 hour, and was right on the money. Having a challenge backing up so as not to damage my trees yet allowing me to access it directly from the Garage.So many times people complain about bad service, and seldom scream out about Good service. A very stressful experience from start to finish. They did not show up when they were scheduled to do so, on more than one occasion. When they did show up, the driver hit one of our cars and smashed the back window. We were very understanding about the whole thing, however it put another stressful situation on top of the move. There were many times when I could not get a hold of my contact, having left emails and phone calls. Ultimately, we were told by management, who I spoke with on one occasion, that we would be taken care of and given a discount off the final price for our experience, which was around the $6,000 to $7,000 range. Unfortunately, I never heard back from the manager and he never returned my calls after that.

Having a BigSteelBox made the process of staging and moving our belongings a lot easier (though we still also got movers). The only hiccup was final pickup of the empty box - make sure you arrange this well ahead of time if possible, and discuss details like what to do with the padlock (if rented).

I moved from Winnipeg MB to Calgary AB this has been the best and least stressful experience of a move. The prices are reasonable and the staff are incredibly friendly! Props to Jeff in Winnipeg, Mason and Savanna!If you rent a container they are available to access whenever, since customer service will give you the gate code!Absolutely incredible moving experience.

This company has no accounatbilly for their employees or the promises they make for their services. I spent $5,300 and I did not receive a $5,300 service. Our family moved two provinces away and spent 3 weeks with nothing in our house. We were given the runaround constantly about when our stuff was leaving and why it hasn't left yet. It would have been way cheaper for us to take the risk and move our stuff ourselves and with the amount of stress my family went through with this company that would have been our better option. Save your money and do it yourself. Do not recommend.

I would like to start by saying the agents that answered the phones or I had dealings with over the phone were all amazing. They exhibited professionalism, knowledge, understanding and in a truly caring way. The hold times were always short, and a real person answered. The same goes for the yard crew in Calgary, they were great. Other than that my experience wasn’t over all that good. The concept of BigSteelBox is great, however the execution lacked foresight. In Calgary at the time there were over 700 shipping containers and they only had room for 6 or 7 to be down a day so customers could gain access to their possessions. That’s less than 1%! Far less than is required. With the ability to only have less than 1% of the containers down at a time, caused delays in scheduling to get access to your sea-can. If you need quick access and or need to access your things multiple times throughout your storage, I wouldn’t recommend BigSteelBox. The inability to get to my things caused me to buy items that I already had in storage and those added up. Add that to their high fees and there was no bang for your buck especial with an in town move and storage. The cost was high for what you received; you only had limited access to your things during business hours they set out and that was based on availability, if the forklift broke down with no back up they had now way of moving the containers causing delays for access and moves, pulling your things out in a dirt and/or potentially muddy yard, the shipping containers are not climate controlled and the cost. I would have saved approximately $600 if I had gone with conventional storage and used my truck and trailer to haul my stuff with movers to load and unload. If they were to make some improvements, I think the potential is there for BigSteelBox to be great.

Super friendly customer service, affordable and very easy to work with. Certainly made the move much more manageable. Highly recommend and will certainly use their services in the future when needed. Excellent business to deal with!!
