Quarry Rock Hike
We hiked up this trail with my toddler on my back. It was easier than Grouse Mountain hike. This is not a loop and you have to hike back the same way or pick other routes that take much longer. The view is worth the hike. Its not all uphills. Goes up and down which is nice

We went for hike during Canada day weekend so it was very crowded and hard to find parking but the hike itself was good. It is a mixture of stairs and trail, you can finish it sooner and beautiful view from the top.

Depending on when you come here, Parking in Deep Cove can be horrible. It's always busy and with the main street underconstruction, even worse. I seriously 20 mins away.Anyways, the 1st part is the steepest going up the wooded area. Nice steps, but can be crowded.A lot of dirt trails and bridges on the way.But my god, it is worth it.Like many tourist spots, some people just overstay and not let others enjoy the view.

I was rewarded with the most stunning rainbow while to started raining at the end of the trail. What a stunning look out! The trail is well marked and took me about 90 minutes out and back with a few rest stops along the way.

The trail is easy about 1.5 hours and 3.8k round trip with 100 meters Elevation gain . All seasons. No camping 30 minutes driving from Vancouver. Public transit is available. Dog-friendly.

Amazing place. The drive itself was beautiful. Caution - to get to this place you will be driving through peoples backyard. Parking is extremely limited and on a busy day you might end up parking couple kms away from the trail entrance. Breathtaking views. Short hike of about 1.5 hours. Dont get confused with the initial big steps, the hike gets easier after the first few initial big steps. No washroom in the area and the trail is pretty much worn out. Would recommend being careful and cautious.

Quarry Rock Hike
So crowded. Went on Saturday. Parking is a challenge. Started at the alternate trailhead" access - on Caledonia Ave.View is stunning though! Took an upper trail (close to Indian River Dr.) to loop it back. Much quieter.Have to try this trail sometime in the fall and really appreciate it. Short

Quarry Rock Hike
I'm not an avid hiker nor am I fit. I really enjoyed the hike and found it manageable. The first 10-15 minutes of the hike I found the most difficult. It is 10-15 minutes of uphill stairs. After that, the path evens out between ups and downs. The forest provides a good amount of shade so it feels cooler on the way to the rock. The rock itself has great views of Deep Cove. This trail is busy- I prefer this for my own safety but to each their own. It was difficult to find parking. I went on a sunny Friday around 11am. Most of the trail is a mixture of packed dirt + rock + well maintained stairs. May not be the best for people with mobility issues. Not all of the dirt packed areas have even footing.

Quarry Rock Hike
I recently had the opportunity to embark on the Quarry Rock Hike in Deep Cove, North Vancouver, and I must say it was an exhilarating experience. This moderate hike offers a captivating journey to a breathtaking view atop a giant rock. While the overall hike is amazing, it's important to note that visiting during weekends and the summer months may present a few difficulties.Let's start with the positives. The hike itself is invigorating, providing a well-maintained trail that is accessible to hikers of varying skill levels. The route winds through lush green forests, offering a sense of tranquility and escape from the bustling city life. As you progress along the path, the anticipation of reaching the summit builds, making each step more exciting.Upon reaching the top, you are greeted with a panoramic view that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The vast expanse of the surrounding landscape, including the glistening waters of Deep Cove, is a sight to behold. It's an ideal spot to take a break, soak in the beauty of nature, and capture some stunning photographs. However, it's important to be aware of the challenges that arise when visiting Quarry Rock Hike on weekends and during the summer. The limited parking is one such issue. Finding a parking spot can be a daunting task, and even if you are lucky enough to secure one, the time limit of two hours can be restrictive. Arriving early or considering alternative modes of transportation, such as public transit or carpooling, is highly recommended.Another downside of visiting during peak times is the sheer popularity of the trail. The path becomes crowded, filled with enthusiastic hikers eager to experience the natural wonders Quarry Rock has to offer. Navigating through the throngs of people can slow down your progress and hinder the sense of serenity one might seek from a hike in the wilderness.Furthermore, when the trail is saturated with visitors, finding an ideal spot at the viewpoint on top of the rock can be challenging. The scenic beauty that drew you to this hike may be somewhat diminished by the sea of people vying for the best vantage point. It's advisable to visit on weekdays or during off-peak seasons to enjoy a more tranquil and personal experience.Despite these challenges, Quarry Rock Hike remains a must-visit destination. The hike itself is an enjoyable and rewarding adventure, showcasing the natural wonders of North Vancouver. The stunning view from the summit makes the effort worthwhile, and the journey through the picturesque forests is a treat for nature enthusiasts. In conclusion, if you're up for a moderate hike with a spectacular payoff, Quarry Rock Hike in Deep Cove is an excellent choice. Be prepared for parking difficulties and crowded trails if you visit on weekends or during the summer months. However, with proper planning and the willingness to embrace the bustling atmosphere, you can still enjoy an unforgettable experience at this remarkable location.
