Bro the cookies are acc the best. I'm keeping my uniform just to sneak in and get some when I'm older. And like the teachers r cool

overall, the place is fine. the cookies in the caf are bomb, the students are chill. the school is big, with a massive auditorium and common area. many teachers take their role as educators very seriously and create an enjoyable experience in learning; however, a significant portion of teachers are severely under-qualified. furthermore, many students complain of the undeserved difference of treatment between students in the ib and academic program. in my opinion, this behavior inadvertently contributes to a superiority complex among ib students and insecurity in academic students. this is obviously a massive blanket statement; however, should be considered when giving ib students special treatment such as field trips to play laser tag.

If I could put no stars, I would.This school prides themselves in mental health awareness, but when I was put into the psychiatric hospital, the principle got my mother, counsellors, and teachers into a 'meeting' to tell my mother that I wouldn't graduate high school and that I would not be able to get into university due to me being admitted. While I was still in the hospital.I also want to mention that whilst I was in the hospital, I met two other patients admitted to psychiatric care at the same time as I was (and nurse mentioned another student from Power being discharged the week before). I was there for a week in total. That's three students total in that week. This was before COVID.I am currently in university studying a subject I love, and I am the happiest I've ever been. I was at lower than rock bottom at Michael Power.No, I'm not afraid of publishing this with my name on it. You all know what you did. I, as a 16 year old, with the assistance of my friends at the time, went to the Michael Power St Joseph team consisting of ADULTS in order to help me with my increasing amount of suicidal thoughts and depression and this was how they dealt with it.The only two individuals who treated me with kindness were Ms Petrini and Ms Mideo (retired).Word of advice that I didn't think needed to be said?Don't treat your mentally ill/struggling students like they're liabilities. You are full grown adults and you put the importance of your institute in front of the well being of your students. Also don't pride yourself in something you don't fully believe. Choose one side or the other. Don't create a sense of safety and openness around kids dealing with mental illness if you're not going to deliver it. This school is cowardly.Clearly the only good thing about this school are the cookies.

This school is so great, and this school ESL teacher and every teacher is so great. I’m very like this school.

So, recently the cafeteria menu made a return, along with its godsent cookies. Unfortunately for me, the price increased to $2 but it's understandable. Anyways as always, friendly staff, helpful teachers, tremendous janitors, and quite a good amount of extracurriculars to get your mind off covid and studying. If you wish to be a student here, goodluck! I want to elaborate more on the janitor thing. I went to the washroom and I felt my sorrows drift away. Everything felt and looked so clean. I looked in the mirror and my reflection was in 10k HD. If you're reading this, do me a favor and thank the Janitors for me.
