A lovely, relaxing experience in a beautiful setting! Thoroughly enjoyed the calm and peaceful setting of the spa and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a bit of R & R. Foot soaks are great as are the face masks. Wonderful!

I had a wonderful time at Uppliva! The staff were extremely welcoming and I felt at ease the entire time.I am in no way a seasoned spa-goer but I had recently heard about this facility near where I live and thought I'd give it a try on a special occasion. I only booked the hour as life wouldn't allow anymore (how I wish it did though! 2.5 hours seems perfect) but it was still enough time to relax.As a treat, I ordered myself the peppermint foot soak add-on and when I was settling up at the end - I found out it was complimentary as a gift from staff (shout out to Sarah! She was so kind through the entire experience).Not only will I be returning, I will be purchasing a package and telling everyone I know to go here when they need some me" time!"

I just discovered a hidden gem tucked away in Ottawa. This magical micro urban spa is just the place to quietly relax and detox. Includes a steam sauna, a dry sauna, a cold plunge pool, hot/cold rain showers and an inviting lounge with woodstove. During the relaxation portion of the thermal circuit, I added on a warm, floral foot soak with petals of lavender and chamomile while enjoying the complimentary herbal tea. Maureen, the owner, has a team of pleasant and efficient attendants who make sure the change rooms and facilities are clean, while supplying a steady flow of organic cotton towels, sandals, and robes to guests. Some guests (no more than 15 people at a a time) can get a bit chatty and loud, but by and large the cellphone-free space remains quiet and respectful. My 2.5 hour reserved block of time flew by. Very grateful for this lovely establishment that will see me visiting regularly and bringing friends. Just what Ottawa needed!

LOVED our experience here. I am visiting my best friend as I am from out of town and we went here for a moms day out. What a beautiful place. The staff are AMAZING and the facilities are wonderful. Loved the saunas and the cold plunge. The aesthetic to this place is beautiful. We both feel so rejuvenated and can’t wait to return!

Had such a lovely experience at the spa this morning! It’s a beautiful oasis in the heart of Hintonburg. I love that you get a locker to store your items, a bathrobe, sandals and a towel. The sauna and cold pool circuit was so refreshing. The cold pool is a great temperature (not too cold). The staff are so sweet and the relaxation area is fantastic. Highly recommend a visit for some R&R.

Had a wonderful first visit to do the Sauna & Steam circuit and it will not be my last! I love that this is an urban spa which makes it accessible for people who want to relax but don’t have the transportation to get out of the city. The 15 person capacity makes it an intimate experience, although when I was there I basically had the place to myself which was even better than I could have expected. The facilities are new and clean. The decor adds to the calm, comfortable atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and kind. 10/10 would recommend whenever you feel like treating yourself!

Gorgeous spa. They’ve really thought of everything. Simple (choice of hot or steam sauna, then cold showers or cold plunge pool), but the simplicity is actually perfect — no need to overthink where to go next! Staff was amazing, anticipated my needs (a blanket while resting, a fresh towel). The trans friendly washrooms are not usually seen at spas and is much appreciated. The thought and care into making the space accessible too is noted. Highly recommend. A perfect, relaxing afternoon right in town.
