MiMOKO is a quaint studio that creates captivating and unique modern pieces. The owner has been an absolute pleasure to get to know, and learn from. Truly authentic, and a growing identity, once acquainted you will be able to spot a MiMOKO piece from a mile away.

Monique is such a great teacher! It was our first time throwing pottery and we had a wonderful time learning and working through each step of the process. I love how our pieces came out, what a great experience!

Had amazing time at MiMOKO workshop creating self-watering planter! Monique is patient and knowledgeable and makes the entire process fun and enjoyable. I have also collected some of her creations, which are all decorative and functional, with organic shapes that harmonizes with the natural world.

I've purchased a number of Monique's beautiful, handcrafted products, both for myself and as gifts. I've always been impressed with their quality, and her designs are exquisite! There have been a few hiccups with shipping, but Monique was so quick to reply every time, and did everything in her power to rectify the situation--her customer service is incredible. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Monique again!

I requested custom orders to her and she gladly accepted it.Although what I requested was a pair of drinking mugs which were unusual works to her.She made me beautiful pieces but a bit of flaw found so kindly she rushed to remake them .Her customer service was amazing. Before I ordered, I was feeling she was a nice person but now I like her even more. She is caring, truly professional and responsible.I believe this is why her works are so beautiful.I recommend not hesitate to buy her piece because of above reason and also the simple gorgeous work goes well with any interior.Thank you MiMOKO

I have purchased ceramics from Monique before and also recently did a workshop. I have done one other group workshop before around 8 people and this time I got lucky in a 1 on 1 session and I found the experience to be totally different and much more productive. Wheel throwing is definitely an art form and I found without proper guidance I was not able to center properly and was just wasting clay and time.Monique took the time to watch me from start to finish and corrected my posture and hand movements. The process started to make more sense and it showed in my work! I recommend sketching some ideas out before you start your classes so that you have a clear picture of what you want to make. This helps Monique guide you in the direction you want. Also I want to add the Monique checks on your pieces while your not there so that they are ready for trimming! This is nice knowing your work is safe as in larger studios your items can sometimes get knocked around which is not fun.Week 1: Throwing - this was lots of fun in practicing your technique and also making items that will guide you into week 2 & 3. I would say this is the most intensive session because if you don't have enough items made then you may need to ask for more throwing classes.Week 2: Trimming - Very fun and therapeutic! My basic pieces really came alive this week after being trimmed.Week 3: Glazing - Brainstorming before helped a lot for glazing workshop. This was the final class to paint your items, very nice and relaxing.Overall I recommend Moniques workshops if for any level! The environment is clean and relaxing.
