Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre
I had a loved one who recently had a lengthy stay at this facility (IPU 2). This was my brothers first admission at a psychiatric hospital and he described his experience as a life changing experience. I have never met such hardworking, and down to earth group of staff who went above and beyond to help my brother. I cant thank them enough for everything they did for him. Incredible team of people who work at this building from the unit clerk, to the social worker, to the doctors and nurses!

Discharged in the middle of treatment and medication changes because I did not live in new west. Unit clerk stated that they are strict about this rule" I dont think there is an actual rule or policy about this . New west property taxes didnt build that hospital . Either way thats neglectful and causes harm to patients. There are enough barriers for mental health care already. Not appreciated."

Very caring and knowledgeable people work in the new west rapid access clinic! The best part is speed in consultation.. In one day , you will be assessed and consulted and get advise on what will help ! They will see you for follow up appointments! Long term…… I am not sure. We are not there yet! Thank you staff!

I had a great experience here. Very few people. Usually I am alone at the waiting area. It’s a cozy feeling. They always call me one day before the appointment to remind me. I was always seen by two doctors together. I feel my life has been greatly improved after visiting here.

My usual OAT doctor close to home suddenly passed away recently and Royal Columbian OAT took over most of his patients, it's a little far from home but the doctor I'm seeing Dr Trapani (sorry if I spelt that wrong)Has been really great, super helpful and actually cares about you and will listen to what you have to say and treats you like a human being unlike many other clinics that just want to see as many patients as possible as quickly as possible and call it a day.Very happy coming here and willing to recommend to anyone else looking for an OAT clinic

Don't try parking here unless you have a staff card all stairwells are locked, they expect you to walk up parking ramp with no sidewalk, also address should be Brunette or possibly one of side streets, it is way down from Columbia.
