The Cosmetic Staff are great. They are helpful and knowledgeable. The Pharmacy Staff are very polite and answer my questions. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of experiencing a Rude Corpulent Cashier. Why this guy works with the public is a mystery. You hate to be that person who talks to the manager but in this case I have to ask Why do you work with people when you lack any basic manners?""

I recently went to this location to get a curler/straightner on July 6th at 10 pm. While checking out, I precisely asked the cashier that whats your refund policy, she replied 30 days. I did not like the product and sent my parents to the store the next day to return it on July 7th, 2023. The supervisor was extremely racist and talked to my parents in a really bad way claiming that the box was open and damaged. I literally opened the box and kept the product back ‘as it is’ because it was of no use for me. I went to have a conversation in the evening to the same store, supervisor Michelle was extremely rude and racist and started claiming that the product has been used, I clearly told her that this product was literally bought yesterday, I haven’t used it at all, then she claimed that there are some missing items, I told her that there was just one curler, then she claims that the box is damaged, I told her I bought this box like this and I haven’t touched the box at all and kept it in the bag as it is. She refused to return it and was racist. I am a regular customer of shoppers and haven’t faced this issue at all. This is really disheartening seeing people misbehaving with not only me but also my parents. And while we were having this interaction she said ‘ don’t you understand english? ‘. I am also an Insurance advisor at RBC and talk to several people around. I have never faced such racism from anyone. I would like to raise this concern and take required actions against the supervisor.

The pharmacy service is absolutely terrible here. They are extremely rude and most staff in this store are really lacking customer service skills. From manager, to supervisors to the beauty department. The staff aren’t trained to handle basic transactions. I came in to return a makeup product and was asked if a gift card would be ok, I said sure as long as I can use it online. Both the supervisor and beauty csr said yes it can and the supervisor even checked the back of the card and processed the return. I get home and double checked online and go figure you CANNOT use a gift online. Flat out lied about it. This behaviour really reflects poorly on the company and should be unacceptable. It’s a shame because I do like SDM stores but this one is terribly managed.

I give this location a solid 3 stars because I’ve been getting my prescriptions at this location for a bit now, usually it’s a fine experience, but the last one I got was quite the adventure and I'll never get my prescriptions from there again.I brought the paper that my doctor gave me and gave it to a younger guy named Kyle. He told me it would be about an hour to an hour and a half - that’s fine. I gave him my phone number to get a notification when it was ready for pickup.Two hours later I called to see if it was ready because I didn’t receive a text. The man on the phone told me that they didn’t have anything for me there at all, so I drove there to see what’s happening. I walked up to the desk and tell them I was there two hours ago and handed Kyle the paper. He calls Kyle over and he asks me my information and then Kyle asks me if I dropped anything off earlier… I told him I gave it to him specifically exactly two hours prior and he didn’t say anything and looked away. Another employee told me that he’s doing it now and that it would be about an hour. I gave them my number again and went home to wait. As my boyfriend and I walked out, Kyle glared at us leaving.I didn’t go back that night because it was getting late and I hadn’t received a text again to say my prescription was ready, instead I went the next day after work. The woman that greeted me told me that they didn’t have anything for me. I explained the situation and she called up Kyle to the desk. Kyle didn’t respond the first 6 times she called his name, he got up, didn’t look at me, then he proceeded to tell the woman that he’s never seen me before but that he looked for the paper yesterday for an hour after I came back for my second time. I told them it was him for sure then brought up my picture of the paper I took before giving it to him. They told me they would call my doctor to get him to resend it and they would call me as soon as it’s there.Three days later I get the text that my prescription was ready for pickup. Finally. Kyle should not be allowed to work in a pharmacy.

Take note, never buy anything over $100 from shoppers since they have no return policy. Tried to return a $350 pair of AirPods and they wouldn’t accept a return because the package seal was open despite having the receipt and everything in the box. Shoppers drug mart has no return policy. I can return opened items to Amazon and Walmart, why not shoppers? Also the lady I dealt with at this location was very rude and condescending when I pointed out virtually every other stores return policy.

I called the pharmacy, drove there while still on hold and no one answered the phone even while I waited in line. Pharmacist's assistant was not pleasant to talk to. Eventually after I left the store, the call was disconnected

DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT have your prescriptions filled here. I have never seen such an incompetent business in my entire life. They don't follow up on prescription refills to the doctor even though they say they do. One of my prescriptions wasn't going to be filled by the doctor one time because it was too early. I can only speculate that I was short changed on the amount of pills that were supposed to be filled.

On Dec 23rd 2022, I went to buy perfume for myself and for my bf. A lady from cosmetic staff was following me and I felt her eyes on me as if am stealing something. I spent 370cad today but unhappy with the environment she created around me.I felt soo awkward. I wanted to see things myself but she made me so much uncomfortable by asking me again and again that did i find perfume or not. Customers need time to decide before spending money. I could feel her judgemental behavior. So much negative vibe. Other staff they asked me twice that was really good. But that old lady she ruined my day. Am not going to visit this shopper again

Cosmetic Staff is clearly on commission.I was at this stores location today. The Cosmetic staff were cold, indifferent and practically rude. I was asking some cosmetic questions and as soon as they found out that I wasn't spending money today, they treated me like I had the plague. Very poor experience today..I wouldn't recommend this location at all.

Warning: A toxic work environment for those seeking employment opportunities.From the things I'm hearing, I really have to question the ethics of who evers running the show... It's clear they value profit over community/equality.Good thing there's 3 other locations in town! Will not be supporting this specific location anymofe!!
