I called a few mins ago, my call was answered quickly. And the person who works here helped me very efficiently and was super nice. Great service, would rate it more stars if I could.

I was on the lookout for a new broker/insurer due to my previous broker providing very bad customer service and not willing to offer me better rates. I turned to JEM since I live in the neighborhood and not only did they provide me with a better rate, they also took care of notifying my previous broker and insurer of the cancellation, and made sure I wasn't without home insurance during the switch. Bonni was very helpful and was quick to communicate the changes to me. Looking forward to having a new broker that's reliable and consistent.

The first time I went here a few months ago, the agents were fantastic. Responsive, knowledgeable and professional. This time was a completely different experience, so poor in fact that I genuinely would advise people to avoid this location. My partner and I went to register a vehicle we had purchased. We had the documents needed, along with (correct) information that vehicles certified as collectors do not need a valid COI, they simply need to be identified as a collector. The agent we spoke with clearly did not have any knowledge, as she turned away the bill of sale and transfer of ownership, and stated all vehicles need a COI. Clearly wrong, because the same day within that hour we took the same documents to the MPI location on King Edward. They not only verified that the bill of sale and transfer of ownership were valid, they also confirmed that the car would not need a COI (commonly called a safety), because it is a collector. When a vehicle is certified as a collector, a COI is not required as they do not fall in the same purview as other motor vehicles due to the nature of their build. For example, some vehicles build in the 1950’s would not have a working horn; but when they are driven only for collector purposes, this is not a concern.Not only was the agent outright incorrect about both the bill of sale and transfer of ownership being valid, she was also incorrect about collector vehicle requirements. Moreover, she was unprofessional and rude and quickly disregarded us despite the fact that we were clearly much more knowledgeable about this particular subject.I don’t know everything with regards to registering vehicles but it’s not difficult to refer to MPI’s website for information if you are unsure. I would prefer an agent that takes a few minutes to double check or verify information rather than assuming incorrect facts.

The team at JEM -an actual GEM! Secured a well declared and well informed on both ends underwriter and customer to secure the best policy for you! Not the 1-800 numbers where you wait for 30 mins and more only to be told they will get back to you hours or days later. Email back and forth on questionnaires- That never seem to end and after all that, still at costly premium.JEM staff are people you can actually talk to and they will call for your questions- dealt with on the spot. Due diligence is key address the underwriters concerns and the impossible are made possible. Appropriate Quotes in real time! Friendly and professional.

I am overwhelmed with joy to update this review to a higher rating! If it weren't for the BEST insurance advisor I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with, warm hearted man, who like myself I feel wears his heart on his sleeve. And that's just from my experience and how much I enjoyed our conversation, he handled my issue perfectly and reassured me everything will be taken care of. Emerito is an Insurance Broker I put my faith, trust and hope our paths will cross again someday! All the best to you Emerito and Thank you for making my Monday just that much brighter. Came and wasted over 20 minutes here to pay for my car insurance today, I pay short term month-to-month and I always just get the $500 deductible. I told her that I wanted the same coverage as last month and her system kept crashing so it was taking longer. She asked if I needed the machine and I did so then she said I could tap my card, when I did I noticed the cost was $146.00 and not $125.00 like it usually is. I brought this up to her and her coworker and they both said the cost must have increased since last month. During this whole interaction she never confirmed with me what coverage I wanted. At every place I’ve ever paid for insurance they can literally just look up my history and see what I’ve had. Regardless, I paid for my insurance last month at this exact location so their shouldn’t have been any confusion. When she gave me the slip to sign I saw it was for a $200 deductible. I let her know this is not what I wanted and not what I asked her for, and she tried to argue with me saying this is what was on her system and it is what I had. Eventually they reversed it (I had to wait while they called MPI) and I assumed they would put the difference back on my Visa, because they didn’t tell me otherwise, until after they had put through the proper coverage and told me I would have to wait for a cheque for a refund. I’m not waiting for a cheque in the mail for a $21 refund and it’s crazy that it seems like I had to be the one to confirm everything to make sure they were doing this right. Took 20 minutes out of my hour long lunch break and they couldn’t even refund me at the end of it. Should fix their system or get more competent workers.

With all my insurance need, jem is definitely the place to go and trust with. Edwin is remarkable honest, trustworthy, impormative, smart and very friendly .

Had my license renewed with Jem Insurance. Staff were inviting and very cheerful. This location bright, clean, and convenient for me. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing insurance products. Definitely going back!
