Mind Games Oshawa

I stop by this store every once in a while to see if there games are still 30-50% more than the competition. This time I had a new experience. The salesperson was trying get me to purchase those kid finger pop fidget things. 300% more than the competition, they were saying i could use this unknown silicone as a candy mold. Thanks but no thanks.Btw google keeps deleting the avalanche of one star reviews for this place.

I visited the mind games store on the evening of May 12, 2023 in Oshawa Centre and asked if I was able to exchange a dominoes set which was defective, with a broken piece. Note, the product was purchased less than a week ago and I had my receipt present. I was told by the store associate who refused to give me her name (brown curly hair, with eyeglasses) that essentially it wasn't their responsibility to guarantee prepackaged products and that I was pretty much at a loss. It was apparently a manufacturer's problem" and not the store as the product is sealed

If zero was an option this would be a zero, I've never had any real issues with this location until this morning and that was enough for me to not only not return but advise others not to also. I was in last night and purchased a magic the gathering card pack for a friend, it was $70.. I said wow that seems like alot for 15 cards. The 2 gentleman explained in fair detail why they were this price and I said oh ok makes sense" and purchased this pack for my friend. During the interaction they said if you think thats alot the whole box is $599

A Geeks paradise! Two part store starting with my favorite part. Cool collection and variations of knives, (functional and decorative ones) swords, and axes, big and small, yes they're All real steel! Other neat items include every board game you can think of, with some obscure versions you may never even knew existed. Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, yup they've got piles of starter and booster packs, and every die and dice you can think of. And the Bicycle playing card section. Wow! at least 50+ different variations of decks. From space themed, artistic designs, dragons, 007, mythical beasts and many more.The 2nd side of the store is a monster collection of mostly Pop figures, children's toys, and other indoor/outdoor fun and games.Pictured: Some smaller knives, and Dragon Bicycle playing card deck.

have been a loyal customer of your stores for the past 2 years . I have time and again received great service at your location which is one of the main reasons I shop at your store. But to my surprise, on the date July 3rd 2023 I was at the receiving end of some very poor service at your mart.I was in the day before making some major purchases on some funko pops, we also enquired about pricing and promised to come back again the following day to pick up some more .The following day we noticed overnight prices had changed for some of the funkos and drastic change from $17.99 to $39.99 , politely I asked to speak to the person in charge . The person sitting at the counter, told me the manager was next door to ask her why such a big change in price . So I went next door to meet with This individual , with the manager title by the name Krista . Krista right from the start she had an air of authority , I simply asked politely , why the drastic change in price ? Krista answer was , ( prices change overnight , and that’s what we do, we changed to $39,99) .I decided that wasn’t a good enough explanation I simply asked for head office number , this soo called manager Krista give me a dirty look and with an attitude she writes down the number for me , as she’s writing down the phone number , she stops , looks directly at me and had the audacity to say the following…..(WHY YOU CALLING HEAD OFFICE ?? SO YOU THINK YOUR GONNA GET YOUR WAY )??? right there and then I was just speechless , I looked at Krista and politely with a very low tone of voice at the same time mortified I simply said ( THATS NOT VERY NICE , WHAT YOU JUST SAID TO ME ) …To make things worst this so called manager Krista in front of her employees she replied back and said ( WHY YOU SECOND GUESSING US IS …..)????At that point I realized it was best to just walk away . Which I did .Being an a owner of a company myself , I make sure my employees are trained to respect , my company to respect my customers , to respect people In general . I teach my employees to de-escalate a bad situation and to remember when you speak to our customers you are representing our company ,and to do so with great level of respect and professionalism. If that’s not rendered sorry your no good fit to work for us..Instead, she talked to me very rudely, and told me that if I did not like the prices, I could take my business elsewhere as I was walking away .I was appalled mortified and embarrassed for her at the same time , for she stooped to such low level , by miss representing your company in a very poorly manner , not lady like at all , I could also tell even the young employees were terrified of her , you could tell right away that she’s a bully not only to customers but to her colleagues as wellI hope you would look into the matter, and make sure such an incident is not repeated.Your company has been known to provide good services, and such event tarnishes this company’s future of ran by individuals like Krista .

I visited this store yesterday and upon walking in the store seemed very organized and full of different toys and cards and gadgets. I loved the versatility and found a cool variation of knives that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. The staff also took their time in answering my questions and showing me all the cards that I was looking for.Mind Games is definitely my new go-to game store!

Called the store twice just days before Christmas for a very important reason. Couldn't even be bothered to return my call. Don't shop here. Read all the other bad reviews.

A relatively small shop.. But they have large selection of games and toys. They have, as the name ofvthe store indicate, mind games.... And scirntific games.. They have science illustrating items... Cool things actually. The prices are normal.. Not cheap.. But also not expensive. Customer service is good. I passed through the store number of times and I was always asked if I need some help.... Not in a creepy way.. But in a friendly wsy.They have things for different ages... so I think it is a good place to stop ehen searching for gifts.. If you like this type of gifts.
