H&R Block

If I have a zero to give, I would have given it to this branch after 3 years of doing taxes with H & R block greenbank location, I left today the office with the worst experience ever. They don’t appreciate their customers at all. I received a call from the tax pro that she wants to meet us on the same day and preferably on the spot! We were present in the green bank location by 1:30pm.The tax pro was speaking too fast saying lots of abbreviations that we no nothing about them and when we ask for clarification she kept repeating the same words again like a recorder. When we asked her a question she told us you call the CRA to know the answer this is not my job!!!! When I asked about the fees it was extremely higher than previous years too. It was a very stressful experience going through all the current situation the least we needed is going through this horrible experience, if the job of the tax pro is only to enter numbers to the system then no need for them if I’m the one who should find the answers by myself. So sad and disappointed and will never recommend or go back there.

I dropped my taxes off on Saturday and went in Monday to finish it up. Amira at the desk was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. Laura did my taxes for me and did amazing. We ran in to a hiccup trying to get my student price and when that wasn't possible she did a great job still trying to get me the lowest rate she could with the best refund! Thank you both very much!

Staff was not knowledgeable and had to refer to other staff on 3-4 situations completing our simple tax returns. We were also surprised at the price seeing a base price of $70 advertised, then being quoted another price before they started our returns only to be charged a price 15% more at the end. We won’t be going back to H&R Block again.

Very pathetic service I have ever seen in my life. I would say never go to them for your taxes. Advisors are just there to get money out of your pocket and make you scared about CRA inquiries. When I went fee started with $50 and ended up with paying $418 still didn't get good service at all. ADVISOR DO NOT HOLD ANY KIND OF KNOWLEDGE AT ALL

ok service if you get the right attendant, the people in there know there stuff and will run through scenarios for your RRSP.... but, expect to pay around 165 for ontario returns plus an additional 145 if quebec return. I had no choice for my return was a little complex (RRSP wise), so I bit the bullet and paid 350 to get my taxes done. Next year, I'm going to take a tax course... taxes are damn stressful, hate them... end up paying in quebec every damn year (highest income taxes in quebec from 15-25% yet there is no health care, everyone goes to ontario and pays through the teeth without much reimbursement from quebec... buyer beware!)

Very unprofessional as I couldn't understand a word the front clerk was saying as well as the person I briefly sat down with before I walked out with my documents not to mention the foul smell. I can't believe this is an h and r block office. Wouldn't even give it a one star!

Accountant did not know how to do my taxes- had to ask co-worker multiple questions. She finally rescheduled so I could get another team member to do them.

Would give it 0 stars if I could person didn't seem to know what they were doing and gave me a quote that I couldn't believe turned down their services because of it and turns out they were very wrong at that

Paid over 700 for bad information/service. I now owe government instead of them owning me. One tax year was off by about 900. Stay far away.

All online, no contact, and a short turnaround. I had a great representative this year who helped me with documents and was very knowledgeable. I also like HR Block for the 'peace of mind' service offered because it takes me out of the equation and I didn't hesitate to get it again.Overall, this was one of the easiest tax returns I've ever done and I look forward to doing it this way in the future.
