My mother got sick to her stomach from eating here last night and I found a piece of scrap metal in my fried rice. I only come back here for nostalgic reasons having eaten their food growing up. However over the years their quality has dropped considerably to the point where their rice no longer has any vegetables, just a few pieces of whatever protein you asked for (Shrimp in my case) and now metal. Can't say my family and I will be coming back here.As of recent I've started to frequent Harbour Delight in town which has turned out to be a much better option with less westernized quality food and friendly service.

On Aug 24, 2022, this restaurant was closed for food premises maintained in a manner permitting rodent/pest infestation and health hazard. Several other aspects of the business were found not in compliance with regulations"Avoid this place."

I've never had a problem with anything I've ordered or with the service. All of the negative reviews I've seen prompted me to put in a good word. Quality, quantity, and price. Thumbs up

I would give this restaurant less than one star if I could. Clearly they missed 'customer service' training day. Perhaps a virtual seminar would be of great benefit....Truly, the effects of the pandemic are the least of their concerns.Never I been treated so disrespectfully by a business.I placed a pick up order and once we got home to unpack we noticed missing and incorrect items. I called immediately and they put the owner on the phone who was incredibly rude and refused to accept that an error had occurred. I offered to return with the order so that she could see the errors and she declinedShe continued to raise her voice and be insulting........in what realm of business is behaving this way acceptable?Clearly they don't need my business so WILL NEVER get it again...Good luck...you truly need it! :(

Not what it used to be. I used to come regularly with my son and we would order individual combos which we both loved. Over the years the food just seemed to get worse and worse. Maybe it's because I found another Asian restaurant with much better food. I tried going back recently and I was not happy at all. The chicken fried rice was the biggest disappointment. Rice shouldn't be that difficult. The meat portions in all the dishes is just sad. Order beef and broccoli and you'll see how much beef isn't there. Very stingy with the meat. I don't expect to return any time soon. At least not until I get the terrible taste out of my mouth.

Have to post my first ever negative experience on here this evening.It is my birthday today and my Mom ordered Chinese food from Jade Garden.Our total was $100.91, so I would say she spent a decent amount. We also picked it up.Upon opening everything we realized that they had forgotten the BBQ pork.Not a huge deal as mistakes happen. So we called and spoke to someone who said they would deliver the missing food.When the delivery driver arrived an hour later she proceeded to tell us that we owed $10.35 for the BBQ pork, which it clearly states we paid for on our receipt.My Mom refused to pay as this was their mistake. So she called the restaurant once again and they stated that they did in fact expect her to pay for the food because they sent another item that we did not order in its place. She proceeded to tell them that’s not our fault that they sent the wrong item.In the end the driver left with the food, our order was wrong and nothing was resolved. Really disappointed in how we were treated.Unfortunately this was enough for us to find a new Chinese food restaurant from this point on (recommendations welcomed).

Placed our order for New Years Eve the night before. Scheduled time for pick up was 6pm the next day. We've done this as a new year's tradition for many years now. Had to wait in the parking lot another 45 mins before my food was finally ready. An $87 order - placed the night before!! Oh wellBrought the food home and right away noticed that the containers were different and portion sizes were smaller. We always FILL 4 dinner plates and still have left-overs but this time not so. The Lo-mein chicken was very bland and starchy, no flavour. Really cheap on the amount of meat in the dishes.So we phoned to express our concern over the quantity size only.The person that answered the phone was conveying our concerns to the manager who wouldn't come to the phone. She basically said we were wrong , nothing has changed. Horrible customer service! Not sure if the manager is the owner, but if so they deserve to lose business when they rip off their customers and then call them liars.Can anyone recommend a new / better Chinese food place in Keswick?

I've had Oriental Delights (their competition) and I would definitely choose Jade Garden every time. On days where they aren't as busy or if you're ordering earlier/later time than dinner times, it takes no more than 10-20 minutes to receive your order (the wait time of course ranges from how big your order is).Portion size is great for the price! Their chicken balls isn't as doughy or greasy as Orientals and food is always warm and fresh.The busiest days are Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays (Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Mother's Day, etc.), so there are longer wait times during dinner times, but it still baffles me that some customers think that they're entitled to have their order completed first just because they called in earlier when many other people are thinking the EXACT SAME THING. I know Jade Garden doesn't start preparing their food until it gets closer to the hour that you want it at, so that customers receive it hot and freshly made, but getting angry and complaining really doesn't help any of their staff members. I feel sorry for them whenever customers don't understand that they're people too and they're trying their best. It's not like they want to make their customers wait any longer than they have to.Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Best Chinese food in town and they deliver too! Always comes with a free food item of your choice (only four choices, but it's still free food).
