Impact Performance

After a severe car accident resulting in a open pilon fracture having 3 plates and numerous screws to put my ankle back together. I was told by my surgeon, doctors, Physiotherapists that I would never return to my previous employment and never hike/backpack again. after a year of not much improvement my wife told me to check out this facility where my daughter was doing strength training for soccer. I booked an appointment with Derek Weber to see if he would be able to help me get back to some kind of normalcy with the extent of my injury. Long story short he built me back up from the bottom up. After a long 2 years of training with Derek I was able to get off long term disability and was cleared to go back to my pre accident occupation. I continued to improve and work on my ankle, although it is not 100 percent and never will be. It is better than expected thanks to Derek. I returned to hiking and backpacking, doing trails I was told I would never do. I recently did the hardest hike I have ever done. 15 kms with a 1425m (4700 feet ) elevation gain summitting a mountain in the Yukon. If it wasn't for the training I received from Derek this would have never happened. Derek put me back together with the rest of the team at the once Athlete factory getting my life back emotionally and physically.
