The doctors and staff at Mayfair were lifesavers when I woke up one morning with an incredible, searing pain in my eye. They found time to see me in between appointments that morning, and they wouldn't give up until they found out what was causing the problem. They found a way to stop the pain and made room for me to come back multiple times until they were positive the problem was solved and my eye was on the road to healing. A wonderful, committed team that really stepped up in an emergency!! Thank you!

I wish to pass along some feedback regarding my partners experience getting new classes at your business. My partner, had the same glasses for 10 years. They left marks on his nose and they bothered him on a daily basis. I got him booked in for an exam and joined him after to try on new frames. Lizel was our client rep and she was AMAZING. She knew the products and how they were to sit properly on my partner's face, and provided frames that brought his eyes to life! It was a fun, professional experience and we are all so happy with the purchase. Lovely people work for Mayfair Optometric Clinic. I had an negative experience where my contacts unfortunately were not shipped and I did not have contacts for two weeks. I called and the receptionist apologized. She not only put the contacts through express post but she also gave me a Starbucks card to have a coffee on them!Thanks for going above and beyond.

My husband and I have coming to this Clinic for years and years because of the quality of the Doctor, the thorough examination process and the support of the Staff. We both see Doctor Peddle who is fantastic. He is meticulous, explains results to the layman, is kind and thorough. The equipment is state of the art and you know your vision, something we can take for granted, are in good hands here. We’ve even had family visit and have taken them to Doctor Peddle (and they too have been impressed). Sandy always welcomes us like Family and we always feel at home. In Covid times, it is a safe environment. Optician Lynn saw to my needs this past week (3 pairs of glasses) and was incredible to deal with. Thanks to Mayfair Optometric for the quality service we’ve come to know and expect. With appreciation from the Smith’s.

Lynn and Dr. Taylor gave me an exceptional experience getting my eyes tested and picking out two new pairs of glasses. I was very pleased with the level of service and quality of products offered by this office. I've gained a notable increase in my quality of life with my improved vision and am very thankful for their service.

I had a mixed experience here in November 2022.I saw a dr I can’t remember his name but I think he was in his 30’s. He was very professional & polite and did a good job. I got new glasses and the staff who assisted me with that were very helpful .Then I wanted to get contacts . I needed an appt where they teach you how to put them in and take them out . At that time in November they only had one staff member who does those appts , and she was not an optometrist or doctor . I made an appt.To be honest the appt went really badly. The woman showed me one way to apply the contacts and I wasn’t grasping it . She became visibly irritated that I wasn’t able to properly do it , which made me feel more tense and made it harder for me to do it properly . I could feel her impatience growing - she did not make any effort to hide it . At one point I was trying not to cry because it was so uncomfortable, with how irritated this woman was and also very disappointing that I wasn’t grasping the contact technique she was teaching me.She kept trying to show me one technique the same way. She finally said “ well some people just can’t do contacts “ I was relieved to leave but sad and thought I was never going to get contacts .To be fair they didn’t charge me for that appt even though there’s supposed to be a charge for it .Someone suggested I go to another place and try again but my confidence was knocked . But I finally decided to try again. I went to Bailey Nelson downtown.What was different was that it was the optometrist who teaches people there. Dr Sydney . I told her of my previous experience and my apprehension because of it . Dr Sydney was so calm and made me feel so comfortable and at ease - and it made a difference , I put them in correctly on the first try , and took them out correctly on the first try. She also showed me multiple ways to do it .If you have a bad experience here with contact lens learning - don’t let it deter you! Go somewhere else and try again & you might surprise yourself :)

Dr. Taylor takes solid care of my eyes and the team had some great tips when I was experiencing eye strain and fatigue during the pandemic when my work screen use increased substantially. And while visiting the clinic during the pandemic to buy new sunglasses, I felt safe and supported with protocols in place. Staff were awesome and helpful in finding (and fitting) sunglasses that suited my style and activity level.

I highly recommend Mayfair Optometric Clinic!!! Dr. Genereux was very professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was able to get the correct prescription and lenses suggestion for the issues I was having with my eyes. I couldn't be any more relieved and happy with the outcome and I can now see properly!! I had previously been to 3 different doctors and had lenses made 5 times without success at 2 other optical places. Melissa and Jewel were amazing at answering all my questions and concerns; and extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk staff also very professional and friendly. I felt that Dr. T was rude and unprofessional. I won’t go back to him. Disappointing as I heard good things prior to this. Dr. G on the other hand was wonderful. Guess I’ll find another clinic.
