Do not bank with these guys they are scammers! I had to pay extra interest and when I’m closing my visa it so happens I cannot close it unless I’m in person. What a terrible banking system. I’m switching to RBC and everyone should do the same.

NEVER DEAL WITH ESTER DERRY THE WORST MORTGAGE BROKER - she will mess up your chances of getting approved and rip you off with a crazy rate and get angry at you. I’ve had 3 mortgages with Scotiabank and I am glad I went elsewhere because of Ester Derry, and I will never return.

Excellent customer service today by W. Beaumont. I came in with a difficult request that I couldn't solve in another branch. They were empathetic with my situation and helped me quite fast and efficiently.

Ester Derry the mortgage broker was the worst mortgage broker I have ever dealt with, she tried to give me an extremely high rate and thank god I shopped around and First National gave me a rate that was 2% lower than hers and I ended up closing the deal with them. Also, Ester was very unprofessional and non-responsive. Will never recommend.

I referred to this branch for a simple day-to-day financial task. Jon Dong was the (senior) financial advisor responsible for it. He conducted himself in a very unprofessional manner and demonstrated very poor and unacceptable customer service practices. Namely, he asked personal and/or private questions and treated me in a judgemental, biased and rude manner. This has been my worst banking experience ever, and the behavior, culture and customer service couldn't possibly be worse and more disappointing.

Excellent customer service. Mr Keith Shottha .He assisted me with my credit card problem. He simply resolved my issue, which I had been dealing with for the past 5 months. I appreciate his efforts and the manner in which he explained everything about credit cards.

Tellers are nice but every time when I need to deal with larger amount of money and they went to ask Susanne for permission, she gave me a hard time. Told me I can’t transfer between banks and can only give me cash draft. Also asked me to go to my home branch to withdraw larger amount of money after the teller told me I can request here in advance and I agreed. Terrible management at this location!

This bank deserves a sad review. I called in to enquire about reducing interest rates due to inflation to my financial advisor, Connor Son. Its taken 2 weeks to get a hold of him and hes done the bare minimum. I even had to show up at the branch and tell him hes not answering my phone calls. So far hes left a voicemail saying the head office will reduce my interest rate if my credit limit on my line of credit gets reduced as well. No details, no reason behind the credit limit reduction. I have been calling the financial advisor daily, and left a message but to no avail.I called the credit department and spoke to Lilian. I wanted advice plus information about the credit limit decrease. She misinformed me that Scotia Bank would cover the debt difference between the original credit limit and the reduced credit limit. For example: original credit limit $20,000. After reduction credit limit $10,000. So wheres the difference of $10,000? That was my question to Lilian - the difference. Which she said, Scotia Bank will cover that amount. Unbelievable! She never disclosed the impact on credit and the over limit fees associated with a credit limit reduction. Debt utilization becomes worse and your stuck with over limit fees. How dishonest and if Im not mistaken, isn't that fraud? This bank proved to be self serving, putting their interest ahead of their customers. They're experts at piggy backing off their customers debt. Its no wonder executives get bonuses even in recession.Dont trust scotiabank, their professionally deceptive
