Food was only luke warm - my friend couldn't eat her meal. When she complained - the chef made no attempt to make something else for her.Escargot should be served hot!Calamari was tasty but again luke warm - Cesar salad was tasty.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, so I didn't know what to expect. I went with a friend who had been several times, and she was looking forward to their salmon. I am vegan, so I was a little apprehensive since the menu is mostly meat dishes. Well, let me tell you, I came away from my experience overjoyed! Rawad brought me a beautiful plate filled with a salad, grilled vegetables, beets, rice, and even a side of their amazing fries. It was perfect. Beautifully presented and so tasty!I was so thrilled, I told my vegan friends to give it a try.The terrace was nice and not over-crowded even though almost every seat was taken. Service was pretty fast, and it didn't take long to get our food.The atmosphere is fun. We both had a great time. We sampled 3 of the wonderful desserts and were not disappointed.A lovely experience with great food. I wish I had taken a picture of my plate, it was beautiful.

This place is a gem. We were greated by the owner who was extreamly polite and courteous.The owner Rudy was attentative our questions and looked for solutions for my requests.Before going to this place I read some of the negative reviews and I can tell you that the owner takes care to fix complaints because we noticed some differences and adjustments to our experience compared to some other reviews .The food was delishious. We ordered calamari (the freshest I've ever had it) and 10oz steak. Although mine was more rare than I preferred, upon bringing to Rudy's attention he was fast to fix it and make sure I enjoyed my meal.The team here works really hard and deserve a visit. You won't regret it.

I have been coming to this restaurant for over a decade. This was my first time experiencing the restaurant after the change of ownership. I was sadly disappointed with my meal. The kangaroo steak use to be cooked as filets with a side of squash, topped with delicious gravy. Everything would melt in your mouth. After the change of ownership and a new revised menu, the same meal which I always ordered previously was now gamey, hard to cut and overcooked. It was served with a side of cold french fries. My tea was a small cup which I drank in 3 sips and no refills.There was four of us sitting at the table and we were given four slices of bread, one silver each (this we found was humorous). The waiters are nice but severely understaffed. Honestly overpriced for what you get.

We arrived on a Sunday evening with no reservationWe were told with only 2 people in the entire restaurant that they were Not sure they could accommodate us by a surly young wait person who did not know how to smileShe consulted the waiter and he condescending told us he could fit us in.Though not everything on the menu would be available.At it's peakThere were 9 other people present and they turned away another party of 3.The young woman who brought the water and bread and was asked to serve the wine (it is a byob)Disappeared and we ended up serving ourselves.The waiter arrived and took our order again stating that not everything was available.My friend ordered an entree and a mainWas told main was not availableMy other friend ordered an entree and a main and was told ..okIt was the same main.Lol.we pointed it out and we were back on trackThe food itself.was excellent. In fact we asked to speak to the chef to give our compliments. The waiter then stated he was the chef as well as the ownerWe told him the food itself was excellent however the front staff service needed attention as they were arrogant and generally unpleasant.When we tried to talk to the waiter/chef/owner constructively when there were no other clients left..he did not receive the compliments of the food and the suggestion to improve the general wait service. In fact he commented on the way I walk.I am a 58 year old woman with some medical issues and this had absolutely no bearing on the services.I have been to low end and upscale restaurants and this restaurant is a definite pass...It is unfortunate because the locale and the food were excellent. However with so many restaurants to choose from, this place and its pitiful front service staff leave too much to be desired. Spend your money somewhere else.We left 10% tip onlyThis reflects the good food but poor service.We had a wonderful dinner the evening before with excellent food and service from Papa Luigi only a minute away down the same street

Veuillez noter que Anick G et Sonia G travaillent au restaurant.We were three moms and a baby eager to try this place. What a disappointment…Our reservation was at 7h15, and we received our dishes 2 hours later.After an hour of waiting, the waitress said there was a mixup and our food would be out shortly. 45 min later, still nothing. We had to ask 2 more times for our food until it was brought out. Now, we were expecting a « gastronomie » experience, but that is not what we got. My friend ordered the arrabiata pasta(34$), thinking it would be homemade pasta. It was instant pasta, no herbs, nothing special. My fish and the lamb shank were ok.The chef came to the table to ask how the food was, we said ok, but it took a long time. He automatically got defensive and blamed the wait on the order being punched in late and my friend being lactose intolerant, no apology.A few minutes later, he came out to apologize and offer us desert on the house. A « haute gastronomie cake cooked in brandy ».That made us feel better about the experience, but it was 3 hours later so we asked for it to go.We nearly fell off our chairs when we got home and realized this cake was grocery story marble cake with sprinkles of coconut, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.Guys, be warned, this is not a fine cuisine restaurant. Some people seemed to have gotten good service and enjoyed their experience, but go at your own risk.

This is my first time at Bistro St-Sauveur. Very nice atmosphere for the New Year's Eve! I am pleasantly surprised by the service, atmosphere and the quality of the food. It's definitely a must if you are in the area of St-Sauveur. The fatoush salad and the vine leaves are delicious!!

The owner went above and beyond our expectations. The fish and chips were the best we have ever had. The duck and side dishes were delicious especially the potatoes. We really appreciated being able to bring our own wine. Thank you for a lovely evening.
