Review is just based on pharmacy - multiple experiences. Pharmacy wait times are horrible. Not helpful, faxes from doctors not picked up in timely fashion, I’ve moved to remedy rx down the street and am so pleased!

Like most people who wrote reviews, I've been going there a long time but since it changed hands, its terrible. The lady at the drop off area is so unpleasant. It used to be a cordial well organize, well dress/uniform staff, not anymore. We will be switching to another Shoppers.

I’m not sure what happened, this has been our pharmacy for decades. Since the change in ownership (with all shoppers), the service, time and MISTAKES have us moving to an independent, caring pharmacy. Bye bye shoppers.

New ownership is not concerned about customers or staff. Almost all of the staff is new as the experienced staff were not happy and left. Time to consider a new pharmacy.Case in Point:Today I bring a script in. It is urgent. I ask to wait for it. They tell me to leave and come back as it will be an hour. Okay, I understand that, so I leave the store and come back. The power flickers. The system goes down. So they decided to close for 8 hours. I visit back four times. The phones are ring no answer. Only a Little note on the door explains that power has gone out, but no indication as to when they will unlock the doors or when a prescription that is urgent will be dealt with. All lights are on to indicate that they are open. Many people and some elderly getting out of their cars to come in and are disappointed. No call back to urgent scripts that were dropped off offering to come pick up the scripts or have them transferred. It is shocking what disregard a pharmacy would have for its’ customers. When I finally go in there is no management there to apologize or speak to.This use to be a well run busy pharmacy. The people cared. Ownership was visible and was there to resolve all issues or others were empowered. Not anymore.Oh, trying calling 800 SHOPPERS. 45 minutes on hold hearing that they care about their customer bedsore I hung up.

June 2023 - Very disappointed in the new ownership of this Shoppers. My 81 year old father went to this pharmacy (he's been there over 20 years) to get some help/advice for bad heartburn. They prescribed (which they can do now) him a DISCONTINUED POTENTIALY DANGEROUS heartburn medication. I am trying to figure out how to report this. I have zero faith in this new system which is allowing pharmacist's to bypass doctors and prescribe medication.I have since reported this Shoppers Drug Mart to Health Canada. Not sure what will come of it. Please be wary of this particular Shoppers branch.

I have been a client of this location for more than 20 years and I have never had a problem. Today my doctor sent a prescription at 12:30 in the afternoon. On Friday I had called to refill some prescriptions as well and they were not urgent, so I said I’d be in on Tuesday. I went in today for both at 7pm and I was told that my prescription that my doctor needs to regulate my asthma won’t be ready until tomorrow. I went in seven hours after my doctor sent it and it is completely unacceptable for me as a patient to be told that something I need versus going to the hospital cannot be done for 17 hours. I called the different shoppers location and they called the pharmacy and ask them to transfer my prescription over. 1.5 hours later and four phone calls to the pharmacy, and this location finally manually faxed it over. Now the location that I’m going to and will be moving my file to system froze just as the manual fax came through and now they have it but can’t fill it and I still don’t have my prescription because of the inefficiencies both at this location and the ability for them to transfer over a prescription. It should not take 1.5 hrs and 4 phone calls by the center mall shoppers to have it sent. It is an instant transfer. I guess being a client for more than 20 years means nothing. And yes I will wait my turn in line as the pharmacy cashier at the Roseland plaza location tried to explain to me what a queue is. But If your telling me I’m 17 hours the earliest from being filled and I’m having a medical episode and it’s urgent, then I do not want my file in the hands of incompetent workers. If you can fill one prescription in 10 minutes from start to finish, that’s 6 a hour, that’s 72 prescriptions since my doctor sent it over and there was only 4 people ahead of me. The math doesn’t add up. Not to mention. It won’t be ready til 11am the earliest tomorrow. If I could give a minus star I would.

Absolutely terrible service was banned from the pharmacist ramy for asking for test strips. I proceeded to call him rude names afterwards and he will be speaking to a lawyer. Do not go here. Do not bring business here. These people don't care about the customers or treat them like humans. Especially diabetics. We all know we use more then reccomended. He doesn't care.

I would give a zero rating if I could. Since David Pinkus sold the store, this franchise has hit rock bottom. I find service completely lacking. Often the line to pick up a prescription can be 30 minutes long. There is no question they are understaffed. Under previous ownership staff were helpful, now forget about it. They are overworked which obviously leads to frustration and rudeness. My prescriptions are rarely ready when promised, even when I received a text saying they were ready. Medications are often out of stock or on back order. I have been double billed, had renewals refilled twice or not at all. There is no quality or consistency to their service. Finally, if I wanted to be a cashier, I would apply for a job there. Minimal service at the front of house too. Bye bye SDM, I am moving my business to Remedy RX on Guelph Line.

I had such a great experience with Jocelyn in the cosmetics department. I came in looking for some new skincare products as mine were breaking me out and drying up my skin. Jocelyn made so many good suggestions and had great advice on what would work best with my skin. She really took the time to go over each project and the benefits of them. She really knows her products and I can tell she loves to help others. Her bubbly personality plus her knowledge and love for her job made this such an amazing experience! Thank you Jocelyn!!
